lol when i saw this im like wow it looks like a mixture of destiny/journey/halo… and then when he stuck his arm out im like “WTFFFFF OMGGG THATS A SPARTAN ARM!! HALOOOO” and then he showed cortanas chip and i completely lost it. BEST. UNEXPECTED. COVERUP. EVER.

Maybe he’s hiding from something/someone…like the USNC.

I thought it was so the sand didn’t get all in his armor.
I think the rags were just to cover up that it was a halo game. I mean cause they didnt even have ‘343 Industries’ in the beginning of the trailer, so I figured it wasn’t a Halo game. But the weird shiny sand didn’t even give me a clue so lol i think it could have just been for a ‘WTFFF INCEPTION’ kinda moment when he stuck out his arm and then the chip, or for the people who didnt catch on his cracked helmet under the hood. The rags could also be related to the story somehow. And im almost 99% sure that’s the didacts war sphinx… I screamed that out as soon as I saw it because it had the orange (didact controlled) lights on him, and it PERFECTLY matched the description in Cryptum… oh man I am sooo psyched :DDD

Wait, hold on. Hold on a second… At the end of Halo 4 he took off his armor…
Maybe he got his armor back and went AWOL for reasons unknown at this time. That could be why he’s wearing the cloak.
To those who are wondering if its really halo 5, IMO it is.
