In past side games; Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary and Halo 3: ODST, They had multiplayer access to a previous main title with dlc map pack access. They had as follows:
-
Halo 3: ODST… had a Halo 3 multiplayer access disc; which featured all the maps dlc and normal. This allowed a lot of players to access Halo 3 multiplayer, with little to no penalties.
-
Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary… had Halo: Reach multiplayer access; which featured the dlc map pack ‘Anniversary’. This allow a few people access to Halo: Reach multiplayer, with limited access, which proved a slight penalty.
I suggest that perhaps 343 Industries include a Halo 4 multiplayer access disc or digital download, when someone purchases Halo: Spartan Assault, for the Xbox One and Xbox 360. Or perhaps a multiplayer access code that could give access to dlc map packs in Halo 4…
I already know that Halo: Spartan Assault will be a digital purchase and download and it is a side game so this would promote their previous title and more revenue for Halo: Spartan Assault, on the consoles.
Or if it is too late for Halo: Spartan Assault, perhaps maybe for Halo Xbox One, the next Halo side game could have full access to the Halo Xbox One’s multiplayer, with little to no penalties. This would promote the side game revenue, and also promote support and belief, from the fan base, showing that 343 Industries and Microsoft Corporation are capable Halo ‘Mantle of Responsibilty’ holders. They would definitely guarantee a lot of appreciation and would increase profits for dlc map packs when everyone has them…
So in other words, purchase costs for the dlc map packs should be cheaper if someone has purchased the origin game, in this case, Halo Xbox One. If someone purchases the 3-4 dlc map packs, probably about $15-$20 in total or has Season Pass, they should get it cheaper then if they bought the side game, thus making total for base game and dlc like $100. The side game should cost a little bit more, like $80, because it offers a new Halo game, but also access to another… so two games, in one in theory. This way it promotes getting the dlc cheaper, if they don’t want the side game, or promotes purchasing the side game, and not having to purchase the dlc. So costs roughly should be as follows:
Main Game
- Halo Xbox One… roughly $60-$80, but may increase depending on the edition.
- Halo Xbox One dlc map packs… roughly $15-$20, or maybe having early access due to a better edition dlc code for a Season Pass.
= $75-$100
Side Game
- Halo Side Game… roughly $40-$50, but may increase depending on edition.
- Halo Xbox One Multiplayer Access… roughly $30-$40, this includes all Halo Xbox One base maps and dlc map packs.
= $70-$90
So what do you think?
