In the world of entertainment, this is my biggest burden. Since the moment I bought Halo 5 in October, it hasn’t work as intended.
My friend and I played through the campeign, where it regularly disconnected me during my first play through. I missed cutscenes and sometimes whole levels.
The multiplayer would disconnect me every other match. For a while, I could still play some matches so I tried not to let the disconnecting get to me.
I recognized quickly that my wifi isn’t optimal for gaming. Even though it works nearly perfect for every other online game, I tried to strengthen it to play my favorite multiplayer game. I’m now paying for a faster internet connection and I got a WiFi extender since I can’t run an Ethernet all the way down to my room.
Despite my efforts, nothing has changed. In fact recently it got worse. I haven’t finished an arena match in so long because it disconnects me nearly every time. Its so frustrating because Halo is my favorite game and I was starting to become very good at the game.
I’m convinced the fault lies with Halo’s servers, and I’ve been complaining to these stupid forum sites where no one even replies to me because 343i doesn’t even have somewhere you can contact them.
This has me so bummed, I went out and bought a PlayStation 3 to keep me occupied until maybe one day the servers work. Maybe when I move out and start using Ethernet, this will all be over lol.

That seems to be the solution, though I don’t know if it’ll help if its really this bad. I would have to spend a lot for a reeeaally long etherent cable, assuming my family wouldn’t give me -Yoink- for having wire wrapping itself all the way upstairs.

Three words: power line adapter. I am using this because like you it is not practical to rewire my home. Look it up on Amazon. Zero disconnects or dropped games.

I have bad internet and disconnecting from Halo 5 games is a common thing for me. I would check your internet OP, see if your modem/router is having trouble, or your ISP itself is causing you quite the problem.
