I don’t know what to do. tried online, tried offline, tried with hard reboot, tried clearing local storage…tried really alot. last thing I did was the thing this guy posted as solution:
https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/forums/e0d9938206f04a598ce84f2c8cadce02/topics/halo-5-wont-install-on-xbox/c5384554-3ebb-4c30-807d-168d11619c2d/posts
but I don’t get the dialoge “try installing again”, so yeah, doesn’t work for me either.
how is this even a thing? like what’s going on? Please help me. My Disc is 100% clean and has almost zero scratches, and I definitely have enough HDD space (over 200 GB). It exactly stops at 14.4% which is 6.67 GB literally everytime.
Please help, what else can I do/try?
You said “almost zero” scratches. That means your disk is not completely scratchless; that could be the issue. A well placed scratch could halt the installation process in the same place every time. You should try a different Halo 5 disk, or test you current disk on someone else’s console, if you can.
so what you’re basically saying is: never purchase a physical copy again, right? cause keeping a disc safe from the littlest scratch and preventing it perfectly is what every owner of a CD does at anytime, right?
if somebody has suggestions that don’t relate on the physical side I would be very thankful.
The best thing to do is test out the disc, as Chimera suggested, before attempting any other troubleshooting. That way you can rule it out as the issue and we can potentially look into what else could be wrong.
