I downloaded the Halo 5 digital version from the Xbox Store. If i call up Microsoft and cancel it, then buy the Halo console bundle. Will i have to re download it all again using the digital code, or does the content stay on my Xbox? Anyone done this sort of thing before?

Read the fine print. There are no refunds on digital merchandise. Occasionally they make exceptions if the game launches faulty like with TMCC in which I was still able to play it after my refund, it stayed on my console. But just a heads up they don’t give money back that easily.

But, if you read the finer print. It says, ‘‘You may cancel your pre-order prior to the release date of a digital game’’.

Usually you cant, but you can cancel a pre-order. No problem.
Last time I canceled something that was already downloaded they removed it from my xbox, like I never bought it. So I think you’ll have to download it again… since it’s on the new xbox.
