As you all know, the Didact in Halo 4 lacked any backstory details (in-game) and was advertised as a huge threat, but all he really did was try and demoralize the Chief and zap some people with the composer (of course again, in-game). He didn’t really have as much a presence as his own military did in the game. He was really just an unimportant character. So I’m thinking, why not give his side of the story in Halo 5? Maybe some flashback missions of the Forerunner-Human and Forerunner Flood war? Or maybe his journey to get revenge on Chief and humanity (after falling into the slipspace portal underneath the Composer in his ship). These missions could also be the introduction of the Iso-Didact into the games. Maybe it could do his journey from the Ark to humanity to aid them. It could also show how the Ur-Didact went insane during his exile by the Master Builder. And, and, get this: Didact versus Didact boss battle. That could be the proper Didact boss battle we want, and it could work canonically, because both Didacts are equal in terms of power, knowledge, and technology. I don’t know what the gameplay would be like for these missions so DISCUSS IN DA COMMENTS BELOW
Could be like Halo 2, where you played as the Arbiter and saw an insight of the workings of the Covenant.
But you played as the Didact.
I’d rather Arbiter missions to be brought back, or better yet, have Chief, Arbiter & Didact missions. The Didact’s missions would probably only about 2-3 levels because of his insane power.
I wouldn’t mind that, but like K Man said, I’d rather have the Arbiter.
HOWEVER, if the missions were done in a way like, say you find a Terminal and you unlock a Didact mission to play (either right away or later), then I’d love that. I think another member mentioned something similar to that on here before?

That would be cool to incorporate while your learning about the Didact it can be in a fun enjoyable way, like maybe one of his military escapades or something.
That would be interesting.I would abuse his range of abilities.
That, OR release a spin off game entirely on the Human-Flood-Forerunner war with you playing as a Forerunner Warrior or Human Soldier in a close position to both or either on of the two Didacts.
i think didact missions could be cool especially if they tied to his backstory because if you only play the games you got nothing going into halo 4. but i doubt it’ll happen unless its his own game cuz when they did the arbiter in halo 2 he was the same as the chief and that wont be the case with the didact.

Very cool idea. I would be up for that. Maybe put some more info from the books in the ‘Terminal Missions’ so that the people who only play the games could get to know what’s going on in the Halo Universe.

No. I don’t see the Didact fighting for the general good of things. It’s no Arbiter story here. Also, who would we fight exactly OP?
You should play as the didact fighting off the flood.
I’d rather play as an ODST or Elite again fighting flood than the Didact. He’s a “boss”, and you never are supposed to play as one.
