Halo 5 Dedicated Servers & 60 FPS!

Well…that might be a game changer right there. thoughts? I love 60 fps for a First person shooter, and I love it on PC versions of Halo CE and Halo 2, so I’m sure I’ll love the smoothness in halo 5.

Dedicated servers are going to be a very welcome addition to halo. Same for the 60fps.

I really hope that we can get higher player counts now to like 16vs16 or even 32vs32.

Time for us make our voices heard and make sure this game isn’t garbage like H4/Halo Reach.

I’m just overjoyed for the dedicated servers, so I don’t have to play with foreign host ever again, which was a whole lot of my halo multiplayer experience. It’s gonna be weird having shots register so consistently…

Its better technology, so in my opinion, such advancements on a console that is more or less similar to an average game PC is to be expected.

I’m sure the player count will go up as well.

Big Team Battle with more than 6-8 vehicles on the map?

It wouldn’t be the Halo Waypoint Forums without the Halo Haters!

I think it’s too early to tell if it’s “gunna” be good or bad.

BIG TEAM BATTLE WITH 16 ON 16

Halo 4 and Reach was mostly things the community had been asking for since Halo CE. So how exactly do you think more community input will help the future Halo games?

Asked to be able to sprint, we got it, we complain about it.
Asked for the jet pack, we got it, we complain about it.
Asked for a new game about MC that continued the cliffhanger from Halo 3, we got it, we complain about it.
Asked for Friendly fire to be turned off, we got it, we complain about it.
Asked for bloom to be fixed, we got it, we complain about it.
Asked for faster gameplay, we got it, we complain about it.
etc.

I think the community needs to be silent for a game or at the very least act less childish.

Don’t get too excited yet. GOW3 and BF3 had dedicated servers and they eventually became laggy and crap compared to Hlo 3 and Halo Reach’s good connection searching. Hopefully they do a better job with this next title case Halo 4 is an unplayable laggy mess for us Australians.

I was excited to hear when they said dedicated servers, but as somebody said above, we’ll see how that goes about lag and being bogged down. I’ve never played a game with dedicated servers so I have no first hand experience.

But the 60 FPS I look forward to a lot!

I am happy because of this. It really is a nice change, especially the dedicated servers!

Still waiting for indirect news on supported AI collecting. When I skipped enemies in CE, they’d follow me. And when I goaded them, I’d end up with an army! The H4 AI were too passive and frequently deloaded.

This improved performance surely means no more frequent deloading in all aspects (weapons, vehicles, enemies)!

What is this 60 FPS you guys speak of? O.o

Probably improved since its also up to date with the PC tech (in a way) so the AI will have been improved

Not just the AI, I mean ultimate battle customization.

I barely managed it in Halo 3:

Now imagine Halo 5… a hundred marines vs. a hundred Covies & Knights. I’m gonna push the game to it’s limits if I get it. ;D

And I almost decided to not buy Xbox one. How foolish I was.

And pretty well anyone else too (I’m in western Canada). I started playing Reach again because H4 is unplayable multiplayer - same connection on the same day an hour apart with H4 being a laggy mess and Reach (as well as other) playing smooth as glass.

Unless XBL or 343 have server farms set up around the world at key locations, H5 will be a USA only game due to server location. Unless they actually put location filters in H5 so you can play against your country men and be lagged to the servers roughly equally.

Time will tell, but I am not holding my breath that XBL / 343 will do any better than they have in H4.

Sprint turns Halo into Halo of Duty - Big maps all built around sprinting - People asked for it, everyone sees that the game is worst with sprint, thus where all the complaining is coming from.

Jetpack (All Aa’s) - All Garbage and break maps - Almost everyone hated it in Reach and they went and put it in 4.

Friendly Fire - I don’t think I ever asked for that to be turned off, I actually liked killing my own teammates lol.

Bloom - once again I don’t remember asking for bloom.
