well Reach had twice and many slots in the final game then in its Beta and its beta was held closer to the final release.

I think the slots all restart except for those armors like the Elite modeled spartan armor and those others like the Knightfall armor those i believe were exclusive unlocks for the halo 5 multi-player and transfer over to day one of halo 5

The beta still had more slots than the Halo 5 Beta though, and they only added slots on top of what they had. Halo 5 just had armor sets, no room for customizing legs and such really.
