Yea that’s about it. I can’t load into custom games. Been trying daily for 6 months and no luck. What happened to this game which was otherwise okay before the free halo infinite multiplayer beta?

Maybe reinstall the game I was able to get into custom matches on my series x
All the freezing 
and other problems are solved if you got a Series S|X.
I find really stupid how 343 doesn’t care about fixing the games they made but are more than willing to basically shut them down. You can still play them but just barely where you have to deal with constant problems in Social Matchmaking and Custom Games.
It’s not just custom games that have this issue. Even co-op campaign has this issue. I’ve had several instances where I have to LEAVE the fireteam and rejoin just so I can actually play.
Seriously, 343 should STOP overcorrecting from H5 and fix its major issues RIGHT NOW!!
Yeah, on S|X the work-around quirk is to load up a custom match, upon first booting up Guardians. Then the whole “Failed to connect to dedicated servers” should clear up.
I play on a 2014 model Xbox One, and aside from like 1 or 2 freeze ups every couple of months, Halo 5 runs fine for me.
