Would like to have an option in Halo 5 to have it so there is no descoping. I know that asking for that in MM would get players who call themselves “MLG” would throw a hissy fit and i don’t feel like going on a long debate where neither side will move on the position but I’d like to at least make custom games where I can choose whether descoping is on or off by game option choice. I played Halo back since it first camp out and the only 2 things i never really like game play wise was Descoping and Decrouching. Never liked it. I still disliked halo 4’s way of doing it. I just think being able to stay crouched and scoped in while under fire should be allowed, at least an option for custom games.
Crouched yes scoped no. Descoping helps balance out the sniper/long range weapons in game giving a chance for players to make an escape. Maybe for customs but definitely not in MM. It makes it more important to get that first shot kill/proper movement and concealment.

i dont believe a single bullet out of a magnum or smg should descope someone it’s annoying and by your argument actually benefits the attacker more because if player 1 is being sniped by player two than player 1 cant zoom in far enough to descope player 2 who is further away with the sniper rifle and instead will be descoped himself after player 2 shoots, but domes kill him and there for can do the final shot. its like the same argument with Promethean vision. “it will sop camping because players can see if someone is camping” but it actually works the other way around ion the end because it makes the camper have an easier time seeing them first. I don’t know what fallacy they call that but i see that a lot in gameplay. where they make a mechanic to be thought of as helpful for someone but instead benefits more often the other player.
And it’s custom games, so if you don’t want to play someone’s map because they have descoping turned off than you don’t have to play it. everyone wins. to me descoping is a complete annoyance and i see no real use and glad i could get all my unlocks in other halo games with minimal MM to have to play. Love Halo but hate descoping and decrouching with a passion, this coming from a true halo fan.
