So I was wondering if there would be crossplay between Xbox and PC. I dont know if this is a technical thing or whatever but I really hope it is a thing, cause a lot of my friends are on PC and I would love to play customs with them. Fingers crossed!
And its not like there will be any serious balancing issues cause console players are at a disadvantage. They’re custom games! It doesnt matter who wins or loses (if there was crossplay for ranked i could see a problem.
If it stays customs sure… But I wouldn’t want warzone or especially arena cross play. Games are way more easily hacked on PC and would lead to a lot of cheating.

Not only that but pc players would also have a huge advantage in aiming.

I agree with these a lot. Especially aiming…PC players would have a HUGE advantage. It would literally ruin Halo on Xbox.

Yup, Gaf is pretty steamed by the fact it’s not cross-play. It’s actually kinda hilarious given the actual context for it (It’s to give forgers another option to improve their developing skills, not to bring Halo to PC)
And as others have said, I’d be fine with crossplay between customs and campaign if they ever port the game in full to pc, buuuut keep MP separate. Forever.
If Halo 5 were to have cross-play with the PC, IF it were, I’d quit the game and not touch it unless you could search for matches within the Xbox side of things only (which I doubt 343i would add). Mouse-Keyboard support is an huge advantage in aiming.
Its only a problem if you care. Since customs is mainly gonna be with your buddies if you dont are that they are at an advantage w KBM then it shouldnt matter.
Personally I wouldnt but iuno some people might not care enough…

Halo is still coming to pc. From now on every Microsoft published games will release on windows 10

Keyboard and mouse is the main reason why FPS shooters have not been introduced to cross-platform play. Rocket league is an example where not much of an advantage is present through the cross-platform system.

I think they said you can play on PC with other Xbox and PC players to test your map and game type, but nothing has been said about Arena or Warzone.

There will be no Arena or Warzone on PC. Custom Games and Forge only.
