If i have read it correctly the halo 5 xbox one console comes with the limited edition only difference is the game is digital does anyone know if that digital code i can put in same place as the collectors edition and get microsoft to send out a physical copy ?

The problem is, you either download off of a disk or the internet. So either way your HD will have a 50 gb game stored on it. I don’t believe the Xbone technically plays games off of disks, it’s more just a launch program to launch the digitally stored game. So would you rather install a 50 gb game for two days using internet and have it ready for midnight on the 27th or would you rather put in a disk at 1 in the morning and start installing a 50 GB game to be able to play at 2:30 am on the 27th?

I’m waiting for that Halo Edition Xbox for 2 years too and it could be great to have the possibility to exchange the download code for a real disc like in the collector edition. It’s way better to have a halo 5 steelbook with a real disk and not just a code. I already have all halo games in a real box with discs in my collection and i want to continue like this. How is it possible to purchase the base game 69$ or the limited edition 99$ and have a disk but when you purchase the collector edition for 249$ or the console limited edition for 499$ (which have the same content of the limited edition at 99$) you don’t have one?
For me it’s inacceptable to see the forza edition console pack at 399$ and the halo console pack at 499$ without kinect but an empty steelbook in it.
How can i use it? If i get a limited steelbook of a game it’s to put the disc of that game in it, not to only have a tiny piece of paper with a code on it inside.
Yes i say that and even more, mostly when we sees that the content of the pack is exactly the same of the limited edition at 99$(goodies and others but now without the disc).
For 499$ i can purchase the halo 5 limited edition game(99$) and a forza limited edition xbox(399$).
Same result : 1 xbox with 1To Hdd (but forza not halo) + halo 5 limited edition + an other game(Forza).
I think that for 100$ more than the forza edition, a disc in the pack isn’t too much to ask for …
And, if it’s impossible to ask microsoft or 343i for a disc, can you explain me why is it impossible and where theses 100$ more went in the pack?

The Problem Is they Are Forcing Digital On Ppl, Even after They Got HUGE Backlash For the Same Thing On THE Collected Edition, But When Your Paying Double That +Taxes The Ppl Deserve A Option, Not Everyone Has Good internet To Download A Huge Game.

You guys know you have to download games either way, right? So you either have a 60 gb digital game installed, or a 60 gb game installed that can only be triggered when the disk is in the tray. The xbone runs a digital copy of the game, otherwise load times would be terrible because Blu-ray is really slow. The disk is literally just a fragile trigger that tells the console to boot up the digital copy of the game.
Yea… disk downloads faster I guess cuz no mandatory digital download off of xbox live which is sooo slow even with updates might as well keep instant on.

That’s Not The Point, Don’t See It As One Person, But Alot Of Ppl Who are Buying The Console Edition, Deserve The Same Thing They Are Offering The Collected Edition. Also True, But The LCE Didn’t Have A Physical Untill Ppl Started Lashing At 343i,Still Doesn’t Actually Have It ,You Have To “Trade” The Code At Retail Then U Get It. In That Case Why Cant they Do The same With the Console, Since It Also Has The Steel Case With No Physical Copy

I agree, idk how the “trade” process will work, how will they know your Digital Copy came from the LCE or Console ?
For all we know the process might allow for both to be traded for physical copies…
Either way, I prefer digital copy

None of those bundles give you a collectors case to put the disk in. The console edition should have just been the base game and the console.
