Im trying to figure out what the problem is. I’ve been playing the game since launch and have been able to play through a number of matches. However starting Wednesday I would start a war zone or arena match and as it gets to loading the game I get booted back to my home screen. Now this happened a number of times so after restarting, power cycling etc, I uninstalled and redownloaded the game. The issue went away for one match but came back worse. Now anytime I tried to play war zone or arena before the match can begin I get booted out of the game entirely back to the Xbox one home screen. It has even done this during campaign. It sometimes makes a weird noise right before booting me. And once it just up and restarted my xbox. Has anyone else had this problem? I know it could possibly be the console itself however I’ve played halo mcc and battlefield 4 multiples times without having this problem. Thank you for any help you can offer.
Bump- anyone having this issue?
Okay so now I’ve seen a couple threads with my same issue…and I’m also enrolled in the preview program. If I get out of it will these problems go away?
Going to continue bumping until I get a response from someone, ideally 343.
I have the same problem, cant play with friends and it sucks! Always getting booted back to home screen…
I’m in the preview program and have no problems whatsoever with Halo 5.
First check the preview program forums on xbox.com to see if others are having the problem and if there are any workarounds.
Also report the problem by holding the xbox button down until the screen pops giving you the option to report a problem.
One thing you could try if no one else is able to give you a solution is factory resetting the xbox. Unfortunately though this will erase everything on your internal hard drive but luckily saves are stored in the cloud.
Ideally you should make sure all your games are stored on an external USB hard drive before doing this so you don’t have to download them again.
I have fixed problems in the past by doing factory resets but I have all my games stored on the external drive so I don’t have to go through the hassle of reinstalling everything.
Okay, thx for the reply Malacath
Okay well after hard reset of Xbox, hard reset of router and doing port forwarding, I can play a war zone match every now and then. I can play arena just fine. I’ve opted out of the preview program, and am waiting to see if that helps with the war zone issue.

Plan on seeing this message very often until a formal announcement (Twitter and a locked forum shown in help section) is made so people stop wasting their time and money on “solutions”. This is all I want
The lack of service and blaming of consumer setups is outrageous.
They suggest changing DNS (I did this day 2, no help).
I have tried multiple forum posts, Twitter, Facebook, etc.
All we get in response is:

> Thanks for the report! We’re aware of this and investigating.
Provide a time line or at least make everyone aware of the issue rather than responding to a forum post with this garbage. Thousands of people have this issue. Many turn to purchasing new hardware or bring out a technician for $100s of dollars to play a game and 343 knows it is an issue on their side. MAKE IT PUBLIC THAT IT IS YOUR ISSUE AND YOU’RE WORKING ON IT! Stop letting people waste their time and money!
I’ve read hundreds of posts. Some are even TWC technicians who know it isn’t a hardware or service provider issue.
