First of all, please respect my opinion: I respect yours.
Halo. A franchise so popular and successful for a reason. And with the newest game, halo 5 guardians, 343i have created a great experience that allows the players to have fun, no matter what we might say about them. Of course I know this first hand, and I too am no stranger to the nail-biting, gripping gameplay that it brings to my xbox one. Well, it did.
The issue that I’m addressing today is with the decline of the fun that I can have while playing this game. And no, before you ask, I will not be mainly ranting at 343i. I’ve been thinking about it and I think that it is to do with separate people in the community (so I’m not complaining about everyone or picking anyone out; I’m sure most of you reading this are perfectly happy normal, nice people).
And here’s my theory:
When I first started playing halo 5 guardians, I was running around having a laugh. Nobody was tryharding, hacking or whatever.
AND THE BEGAN THE “MLG” STREAMS
Thanks to a handful of guys who thought that they were badasses, a load of previous, decent players who were way better than the streamers thought that they had beaten halo or something and just began to rot away and grow troll faces. I think you know what I mean. So this is why halo has been ruined for me: there are a ton of messed up, sad people who just kill their own teammates and then -Yoink!- them for ten seconds. I’ve seen in comments before, “this is the competitive nature of halo, deal with it” which I understand.
But this is crossing the line. So, as a closing comment (as I will not be answering any, sorry), please, if anyone is reading this and hasn’t died from the insane amount of writing, don’t seek that kind of pleasure. Try to help your teammates, so we can all have the best gameplay experience at the end of the day.
Thank you for reading.
I’m sorry I can’t tell exactly what the point of this post is could you change the title a bit to make it easier

Sorry there you go
It’s always been a community problem. Nothing new.
So you’ve identified a problem, but there isn’t a clear cut solution. Communities rarely change for the better.
I don’t understand your point about the Halo community, to be honest. And I’m basically the definition of a casual in Halo.
It sounds like you’re taking it too seriously.
‘Try-hard’ = someone better than you. So guess what, when you’re having fun in those ‘casual games’ and getting good stats… You’re the try-hard.

first you complain about team killing just to blame it one the “competitive nature of Halo”, an aspect of Halo witch suffers from unsporting behavious and team killing way more then “casual play”?
Sorry but does not make any sense…
I don’t get it. Is this a complaint about the competitive nature of Halo 5, or a complaint about people betraying their teammates? Or is it a slight against streamers? I’m having trouble identifying the source of your woes.
Given that the OP is not going to respond to comments in this thread about their own views, it is only a rant about how they view the community. You either agree with it or you don’t but discussing it will do nothing because the OP only intended to rant about it.
I team kill from time to time. It’s the halo experience.
Team killing will always be an issue.
But it bans me for accidentally killing myself twice instead of the guy who’s on my team murders me for the weapon I got to first. Awesome.

Accidents happen. Idiots who can’t use a power weapon right happen. People hogging the flag when they should score it happen.
This is by no means systemic of Halo, this is a typical thing ALL games have to deal with. It’s unfortunate, but it is what it is.
And complaining about it here doesn’t really accomplish anything so I’m going to lock this now.
