I’m trying to find a good color combination for my Helioskrill. I’d like your guys’ opinions. Nothing with primary black please. I am currently using salt and carnelian.
try salt primary and lapis as secondary.
Go with a dark blue and ooze or any of the brighter green colors. The green stands out really well from the blue.
Basically anything dark with a much lighter secondary.
Personally I like to use yellow and green, since no one ever wears yellow for some reason.

Edgy black’s used by like 80-90% of players.
Primary lavender and salt secondary!
It gives off the feeling you’re a dandy person to hang out with during WZ Firefights and a worthy future backstabber in Infection.
Oh and some Orange or Orange/Yellow color with a dark red is usually pretty -Yoink!- on everything.
Ok, so I am using the way-point customize, so I have no color names, but!
Here is my idea:
PRIMARY: The middle brown color, its next to the black/white row.
SECONDARY: Darkest orange.
VISOR: First rare orange visor.
it has a very natural sangheili palette.
Pepper for primary and cobalt for secondary with glacier visor. It looks really cool.

Dark blue and gold
Black primary citrine secondary if you ever change your mind on the black thing
Pepper and Vermilion if you like dark
Metallic Grey and Salt if going something medieval
Any kinda dark primary and bright secondary usually works well for me. I’d suggest black and lime but since you said to avoid primary black maybe some a shade of red plus yellow, white or lime as a secondary. A brown primary and light blue secondary might also be nice.

Hmmm I don’t ever remember there being a black I remember pepper. No black as primary so, red primary and black secondary?
