Halo 5 Classic Playlist

It’s a simple idea, really. To make all the fans happy. Just add a classic playlist with no sprint. I personally have NO problems with sprint & have adjusted to the change. Some gamers just cannot accept change.

Look at the Call of Duty series for an example. The fans after Call of Duty: Ghosts asked for change, because all of their games were playing & looking the same. Their solution was to add exo-suits to the new CoD. This changed how the game was played a lot in CoD. Sledgehammer Games already knew that some gamers will feel unhappy with the change. Their solution was to add a classic playlist. This playlist features no exo-suits & played like classic CoD.

So maybe add a playlist without sprint, thruster, Spartan Smash, Climber, the new aiming system, & that other ability in the playlist. It will make all of the players happy. (& I just want all of the “I hate sprint” people to shut up xD).

They already announced that you can remove sprint in the options when making a custom match.

I’m talking in Matchmaking/wargames. To have an Online playlist w/o the following things I’ve stated.

Did you noticd that nobody plays the playlists in COD AW without the exo suit?

The entire game has been designed around it and plays like -Yoink- without it

I’d me fine with this if there is an option for you to scale maps down to make them playable without sprint. Either that or they actually make a file browser so that we can get the forge maps more easily. (Plus a custom game browser would be cool)

Calling them hardcore and casual is not good idea. Calling one modern and the other classic is a better choice, since I like the new abilities and don’t consider myself another casual player.

I changed it xD

Even if players “don’t play the playlist” doesn’t mean that there is really no one playing it. The population is really low though, which is great! They knew that some players wouldn’t like the new changes or that some players just want to play some classic CoD. Just having that alternative would really help you & would keep all players happy & playing your game.

Halo became an esport game because of how the developers made the game, it was only in Halo 3/Reach where Bungie offered people the options to essentially create “their own halo” did any of this ever come up for what’s better/what’s worse.

I hope 343 doesn’t create different settings for different playlists instead of letting people play the same way across their entire game.

I really hope they don’t decide to create a “hardcore/pro” version of gameplay…that will just segregate your audience as much Reach Arena did…why would the majority of players want to go into a playlist that plays completely different than what they’ve been playing?

Just like any sport - good teams will ALWAYS find a way to win.

They probably will not create a playlist w/o the abilities because it might take too much time? I don’t know, I just want everyone to be happy w/ the game. I don’t want all of these players just constantly bickering w/ each other everyday on the forums whether sprint should be in the game, whether spartan abilities should be taken out, etc. I can vouch for mostly anyone in the community by saying that I want all players to be happy w/ the game.

The difference is that Call of Duty cannot create new maps on a whim like we can with Forge. The playlist could simply have a few maps that can be played without the new abilities (like Truth, Regret and Pegasus) and be filled with Forge remakes like of Lockout or Guardian and stuf like that.

There should be 2 ranked classic playlists; one slayer and one objective. I don’t really think I’ll play them, but it will be nothing but a good thing to provide options to people.

It wouldn’t work. It never does.

343 is designing the new maps for sprint, and the new Spartan abilities. That means that there are routes that are exclusive to the clamber ability, and the maps will be bigger in general to accommodate for sprint. If you suddenly take these abilities away, the map will end up being too large, and the clamber routes will be rendered unusable, thus breaking the flow of the map.

I love legacy Halo, but I just don’t think that legacy Halo would work too well on the new maps.

I really think they should do this as it would sell the game to all the spartan abilities are the worst thing ever people.
