Halo 5 Classic Playlist, Any Forge Volunteers?

Forge is releasing on the 15th and it’s proven to be advanced enough for us to include every detail imaginable.

I have plans to remake Lockout for Sprint and for no Sprint.

My question is whether or not anyone out there will remake other classic maps with no Sprint in mind considering this is the first Halo game since Reach that allows you to disable Sprint.

I was thinking of remaking Sword Base from Reach. I’m not an amazing forger, however I intend to try extremely hard on this remake. I think I will tune it to match all the new Spartan Abilites, however keep the main layout so that you can still play without all the abilities, including sprint.

The pit, plain and simple. Plenty of places great for clambering.

My opinion your maps have to have sprint and be built for it. Unless you want people to feel like they are playing a different game and that is your intention

I’ll be remaking Anchor 9 from Reach, modeled after my remake of it in MCC.

I’ll volunteer to remake High Ground from H3. It’ll be fun to toy around with the scripting. We should all favorite this thread so we can keep tabs on each other and each other’s remakes

Im going to be remaking Narrows from Halo 3, so if a classic playlist came up id definitely submit it! and with all the new stuff hopefully i can make it extremely detailed aswell!!

I think OP was referring to what forgers will remake maps…love the ship idea though!

my plan is to make a h2 lockout , and i think it will fitt on the snow forge map in the cave .

I am going to remake Sandtrap from Halo 3. I am going to try to weld together some forge pieces and script it to make two elephants. How awesome would that be!

I’m not amazing at Forge, but I’ll volunteer to make Boarding Action from Combat Evolved

I’m too -Yoink- at Forge to remake maps, but I usually try at one point, or make a map with characteristics of old Halo PC maps. (Danger Canyon, etc)

I think you can only do scripting to make them go in 1 direction… so might be a bit tricky but id be interested to see how it goes!! If there was a sand canvas i would have definitely done sandtrap but i thought id give narrows a go as i can do the grav lifts and itll be a fairly easy map to make…

That’s why I’d make two different versions, one for Sprint and one without Sprint.
Classic Halo had no Sprint so it makes sense to have a Classic playlist to relive the experience.
It wouldn’t be a different game just a stripped down version which a lot of people still enjoy.

Just remember if you disable sprint you need to make the base movement speed a tad faster. Like 110% or something like that. I guess what you could do if go on H3 and while zoomed in see how long it takes your buddy to traverse 100 meters towards you. Then go into halo 5 and adjust the base movement speed around that

I’ll need help play testing High Ground and getting measurements right, what’s your GT? We’ll do some R&D together
