Will there be loads of customisation in Halo 5 Guardians? I personally really like games where it allows you to customise things on your charachter. I also think customisation is a key thing when developing a game!
They’re will be decent customization, not as in-depth as Reach or H4, but yes decent options for you.
The armor customization will be limited to helmet, visor and suits. The trade off for not having in-depth customization is that there will be much, much more armor sets to choose from.
Is another one of these threads necessary?
The sheer amount of armor just in the beta says that there will be no shortage of things to customize a spartan with
I think Reach had the best customization. H4, not so much.

Yep, like the thousands of threads about sprint, ADS, split-screen, “Halo is dying”, “Halo is not dying”, etc.
just to make it clear
I’m on the side of this lack of customization is really annoying, at least put helmet, visor, torso/legs, and shoulders.
Guys josh holmes response to that question along with the reason was pretty vague and may not be correct since we haven’t played it yet so we don’t know if what kind of armor customization we’ll get

It was kind of vague, but I believe he said no “bits and bobs” like Reach… Which is also pretty vague, but if it was full customization like H4 they would’ve already came out to tell us, so I assume its not. We’ll probably get our solid answer when we see H5 at Gamescon tomorrow. Whatever they show then will pretty much close to what it’ll be at release.

No problem. Pay it forward, and help someone else who needs it.

If they do limit armor customization and probably a month after launch people will probably send bad reviews and judgments and 343 will probably fix that buy giving us more options to customize our armor in either an post-launch update or a dlc cause not only does 343 want to make a good halo game but they also want to make the fans happy on giving them what they want plus what’s the point of adding in 100s of new armors along with classic armors, and different armor variants if we can’t customize the shoulders, torsos, forearms, and legs
Just makes no sense why they are taking away things to replace them with ‘new’ ones. The whole point of a new installment is to add or slightly change the core of whats already there. So if an older game like Reach feels like it has more compared to a newer game thats meant to have more just makes no sense. Obviously Halo 5 has added features just a little late… although taking features to supplement just one isn’t innovation. This the fifth installment of the game i expect better from 343 this a growing trend of replacing instead of adding on and it shows. If they were smart they would satisfy every type of customer not just a specified one especially if they are expanding it for more casual players. All i know is im disappointed from the games I purchased from 343i and prefer the Bungie name on it. Unless they prove otherwise I wouldn’t be suprised if there is backlash and players leaving after a month. I can only hope I’m wrong and suprise me with forerunner vs forerunner game type mode idk.

Time and resources they deemed better placed on higher priority parts of the game. It is what it is. At first I was pretty bummed out about it. But surprisingly I got over it fairly quickly. Probably cause at this point I really want to play the game and can’t wait to see what’s in store for Gamescon tomorrow. At the end of the day, I play he game for the game, not the armor. Although adding in full customization later would be fan-freakin-tastic.

The time and resources to separate/individualize the “customizable suits” they have clearly created as options for you to choose from in H5 would not be nearly as significant as you seem to want to make it out to be. For all we know, the entire problem here is that they won’t let you pick and choose pieces of suits that they put the time and resources into creating. In other words, the whole problem might be the fact that they failed to find it worth their time to allow you to pick and choose, rather than take what they picked and chose while making the suits.
I’m not big on customization at all. I honestly don’t pay hardly any attention to it. But I’m well aware what it’s like to keep getting disappointed on an issue/area of this game that is in fact important to me. That said, Reach nailed customization and that’s obvious. The fact that this will make the 2nd straight game that fails to offer Reach-level customization is plain dumb. If Reach did anything right, it was customization. Why not start with Reach’s system/approach…and BUILD from there. Give these guys their wardrobe time…then let me shoot while I sprint…please.

And most of these repeat threads get locked.
As soon as I saw that Halo Wars 2 trailer. I was just like… I knew it… time and resources my -Yoink-. They are just going to do yearly games next up Halo 3 anniversary Fall 2017. These are -Yoinking- excuses “time and resources”. This may not be exactly how Activision and Infinity ward release Cod games but saying you didn’t have plenty of time since the first E3 of Halo 5 being developed and now. These guys were already developing other games. I have no more words to say but I’ll look at Gamescom more in depth if they revealed anything regarding more customization or an Arbiter campaign dlc or something idk anymore.
