343, please pleas give us something. Anything…surely you must have a screen shot? Halo 4 population is dead. All I hear about is Destiny and Titanfall and BF4 and COD. We have seen a lot of Destiny content at this point and it comes out late 2014…Plase 343 let us know you have something amazing going on for H5. Please, for the real people who miss H:CE and H2 and H3 multiplayer. Not for the casual COD crowd.

I’d imagine practically anything. And to be honest, I agree with the OP.
I agree with OP. A screenshot or some info of the direction of Halo 5. Bungie was secretive too but we knew what was coming at least a year before release.
Low population, frustrating game, yet it seems Halo fans are still out there just waiting for a hint that 343 listened.
I just want a pure Arena Shooter in 2014. I dont even want to rant about sprint, loadouts, and AAs. We all know they’ve hurt the franchise more than it helped .
I just hope 343 has learned that Halo needs to be Halo. Or at the very least a toggle option for all the nonsense they plan to add along with custom game search.
My only hope for Halo 5 is X1 being more powerful than 360.
A screenshot would be more annoying, it be like Bungie Destiny Screenshot.

I am sure that when 343 do release something. It will be great. I would love to see a trailer and as ViDoc released together.
Let them release the info when there ready, it won’t help if we keep pushing them to show us content or else we get bad footage or something.

The Halo hype machine will start in plenty of time. I’d rather they focus on the game than the marketing TBH.

I’m going to have to repeat a statement that I said on a different thread:

In my opinion, marketing is just as important as development is in terms of the game’s success. And to support that statement, Halo 4 showed us that a game could make a -Yoink- load of money purely through intense marketing despite the long-debated flaws of the game. Hopefully, with Halo 5, 343i will nail on both marketing, and on quality.

No need to, it’s halo what other reason does it need to be amazing the news will come and it will be worth it so be patient. Why should we care about cod? Lol
Stop being paranoid halo is our game no one else’s the core gameplay of halo is still there it just had some extra features that similar to cod, but are also in games like battlefield have it too. Stop showing hate towards cod it’s not worth the energy and focus more love on halo.
These games like titan and destiny need to manually hype their games up with daily news to keep the interest going. Our belief in 343 is what keeps us going and this halo shouldn’t just be for us old fans it should be for the new fans yet to come as well that want something more than just those genetic shooters

Andycu5, fair point. But Halo 4’s marketing – like a lot of the gameplay – isn’t anything to build off. It was lackluster and cross-marketed to death. That might have bumped sales, but I’d rather they spent some of that on QA or beta testing.
But maybe I’m just having a hard time thinking of the right marketing mix that 343 would need to deliver now - today - that will echo until release next holiday season.
Show me something on part with Halo 3’s bubble shield trailer, or ODST’s Live Action piece, and I’ll gladly say money well spent. But put the money where it needs to be right now; I’m not saying little to no marketing - i’m saying save it until momentum can actually build.
Probably the best way to hype halo would be showing another 20 second teaser showing the arbiter
The Franky Q&A was enough for now. We’ll have to wait for the Microsoft spring Showcase (assuming it will even be held this year) for more details, and that’s 2-3 months away. Which is not that bad, by the way.
If I would have to guess, December 24-25 would be the best bet for [SOME] Halo related info…I REALLY REALLY HOPE! *fingers crossed

And if 343 started talking NOW about Halo 5 (assuming it’s slated for 2014 which it may well not be) they’d only be trying to compete in the din of Titanfall, Destiny, and the general chaos created by a new console generation’s release.
It’d be wasted effort compared to a “late” reveal, particularly for Microsoft as you can be sure they’ll be heavy into marketing Titanfall for the Xbox One. And so what the Halo 4 population is low? You won’t make the game more interesting by showing off the upgrade.
I’m expecting them to slowly tease us until release with newer information and intended leaks. Besides this is Microsoft we’re talking about…

That’s the least likely time because no one is in the studio or working. They’ve said this several times.
