I cannot save any custom games.
I have the Digital Edition.
I have port forwarding set up, and have a static IP on my console.
The console is up to date.
I have uninstalled/reinstalled Halo 5.
I have over 100gb available on the internal drive still, and there are no external drives set up.
The naming format are simple items, nothing bad. (TestSlayer or Slayer1 are the types of names I am trying to save for now)
Add to it that I cannot go into the theater to view any previous matches I have been in.
Super Aggravating.
Is anyone else having this issue, or has had this issue and fixed it???
Same here.
I first thought that it was my connection or the fact that I’m inside the preview program, but after testing on my brother console (same connection) who doesn’t have the new preview dash, and after installing my profil on a friend console it seems that it’s related to our profile, not our connection or dashboard, as I always ended up being unable to watch a party on theater, saving a custom game or watch a friend game… There might be a problem on our profiles on 343 servers or something like that. Hope this will be fixed soon!
Then the problem must be on their side of the servers with our profiles: Something on them unable us to synchronize correctly, so it must be on our profile data, as it only occur with only a few of us, like a data valor unrecognized by the server… Now what is left is to find what we all have identically on them, maybe something we did, like playing offline before the release date ( like a creation date of the data before the official release date). For I personally started I playing it 3 days before the release date. Is that the case for you guys?

Good call out! The Spectator option doesn’t show on mine either, forgot to call that out!
I agree 100% with you in the regards of it being sync/server side.

Thanks for looking into this!
I’m sure there are plenty of others who are having the same issue that just don’t post on the forums. I also have friends who are able to save.
I honestly wasn’t expecting anyone from 343 to respond to this! Very pleased!
If you need anything else from me directly please inbox me and I will give any further details needed!
Hey everyone, please double check that the “See content other people make” field is set to “Everybody” in your Xbox One settings? You can find this in the Privacy & Online Safety menu within your account settings. You can learn more about this here.
Mine was set that way.
To clarify there are multiple issues:
When I go to the theater it still gives the “load error, an error occurred while loading the film”
When creating a customer game, it gives an “error while saving” and will not save the game settings. (Does this pretty much each time I do anything. This is also my main problem in my eyes as I mostly do custom games when I can!)
Spectating a match isn’t even an option for me. (Can’t see it with any friends as I have few and they aren’t online… and I cannot see it on recently played people either.)

Better watch your profile setting again, Bro! For i started checking that as a said hint, and saw a lot of “friend only” in the setting, so i turned everything suspicious into “everybody”, and it worked like a charm!
I now can watch a friend game, save my settings and custom game, and finally watch a recent game in the theater!
As i’m into the new dashboard program, all i can tell you is i went into “Privacy setting” on my profile, which was set on “Custom”, clicked on “view details & customise” and set all these options that way:
Others can communicate with voice and text - Everybody
Others can see you Xbox Profile - Everybody
Others can see your game and app history - Everybody
Others can see your game clips and screenshots - Everybody
Others cans share your content to social networks - Everybody
You can use video for communication - Everybody
You can see details about other people - Everybody
You can see and share content - Everybody
You can share game clips and screenshots - Allow
You can share outside of Xbox Live - Allow
You can broadcast gameplay - Allow
I’m currently investigating to see which one was faulty by twinking them one by one, i’ll let you know the result!
**-----EDIT-----**Yup I can confirm that it was option 8:"You can see and share content " which was set to “Friend” that was at fault. Set it to “Everybody”, and that will cdo the trick! But beware, as it seems that sometimes changing the settings won’t change everything immediately, i even had problem errors when turning them on and off to test that (error 0x87c40000)… Best is to set all that way, and wait a bit before restarting the console, and check if everything is still set that way on your profil after the restart, then run Halo 5 and check if you can save a custom game: If that works, then everything else should too…
Problem solved, guys!

Son of a something or other…
Mine was not see and share content, that was set to everybody… But there was 1 other that was friends only, forget what it was… Changed that and well holy crap.
Custom Games works.
Theater Works.
Spectate works.
I have set my settings to adult and tried all things listed in this thread. And it still says I’ve encounter an error while saving changes to a gamete. It also will not delete the gametype I have saved at first, nor will it allow me to change the title. Are there other privacy settings I’m missing? Bummed out.

This has not resolved for me, (I’m not incompetent about what is being discussed) please let me know if there are other ways to remedy this issue. Thanks 343

Instead of Adult I would try setting it to custom, and then going into the privacy settings and one by one change everything to Everybody. I had a few set to Friends only and that is what tweaked it for me.
Hi! Yes, do as Rico said: Choose “custom”, as even adult pre-set may have a few things to tweak, I had a friend and his account was also set to adult, he had the same problems, and when I found out I told him to change to “custom” and tweak them that way, and it worked like a charm after that… But remember to save them setting and hard-reboot after that, otherwise it may not work instantly…

Good deal!
It’s weird how they have the settings on it, but apparently they want people to communicate and crap, so they need to have everything open instead of custom done. Makes some sense, but one would think they could differentiate the Xbox settings vs. Game settings. I like to have most of my stuff private as I am a private person, but whatever!
