WARNING THIS IS A TOPIC BOUND TO HAVE SPOILERS FOR H5G HALO ESCALATION HALO 4 AND THE OVERALL HALO SERIES! IF YOU ARE TO POST PLEASE USE LOGIC AND HALO REASONING TO SUPPORT IT

Now we know the description on h5 I can safely come up with a theroy. First mission will start with a cutscenes showing locke and possibly macerate getting there augmentations. Then go to a shot of them getting there armour and weapons before getting debriefed by hood/lasky/Palmer about chief and last known local. Then they will pick up arbiter and go to the ark. There the mission will begin with chief on the ark with blue team due to him taking them with him in escalation. Then you will fight through lots of flood and when I say lots I mean lots. Then we get to the teaser trailer thing. After that we move to locke. The the war Sphinx some how attracted the attention of jul mama and orderd his ships toned to the ark that’s where we see the cutscenes that were in halo 2 an. Then fight through covy and flood finally make it to chief where he has an ai chip and has transferred something on it lock asks what it is and chief refuses to awnser well… He just looks at him and says who are you and introduction’s. Then every body’s back together and then they return to infinity to aid in the efforts of defending the colonies. And then after that they resume the effort they had on the ark this time with every body. And some how we get a hint of cortana’s presence somewhere wether it’s the ark or somewhere else. Then they return to infinity due to a distress mayday from infinity, turns out flood are on multiple colonies. Then you fight fight fight. And then cortana contact chief telling him to brace then suddenly the sun rises and the flood is eliminated. The ending is where we we Schaefer looking at files aboard infinity, he learns about the Janus key and halseys betrayel and a psych report by lock on john. He learn that locke believes chief should be “contained in cryogenic sleep” for quite some time. Realizing he is being betrayed he leaves with him and blue team.

***cortana will not be revived in halo 5 for dramatic effect, you play as locke army chief and macer.

I dont think that was a War Sphinx from the trailer. I’m guessing it was actually Mendicant Bias or possibly the Didact after he got himself composed. And I’m strong to believe Cortana may be staying dead, unless Halsey revives her somehow. Then again, 343GS was killed in H3, but they recovered him in the forerunner trilogy.

Here’s what I believe happens. By the end of Escalation, the Storm wins over the Janus Key, and the game story starts out with the outer colonies coming under attack by Covenant forces, who’ve been using the Halo-effect bombs to lower human defenses. Being put back into a corner, the UNSC decides to send Locke to Sanghelios to speak to Arbiter about where the Chief could have possibly ran off to. During this time, the UNSC and Locke’s forces are under attack by the Storm and Prometheans. (the light rifle returning to Halo 5 convinced me Promies are returning). After repelling their forces, they begin to planet hop in search of clues of Chief’s whereabouts.

Meanwhile, another force (human, covenant, whatever) discovers the planet that the Spirit of fire crashed on, inadvertently allowing the Flood to spread, The story turns from covenant attacking colonies to the Flood attacking colonies. Realizing this, Master Chief learns that an ancient AI on the Ark could assist on finding a way to kill off the Flood.

Meanwhile, Locke and the UNSC also realize the threat the Flood represents and decide to go to the ark (Covenant forces may have already been there by this point from stealing the second half of the Janus Key, if my theory on Escalation is correct that is) there, Chief meets mendicant Bias who tells Chief of the origins of the Flood. how they are originally Precursers and how humans would be tested for the mantle.

At this point, I cant really say what’ll happen next. But here are some end results.

a.) Chief decides to have the halos closest to the infested colonies to fire (it’s clear that they can be individually fired.)

b.) The humans/promies/covies unite under a unstable banner to fight back the infestation

And once again, this is completely based on the idea f the Flood returing. The preorder page on amazon suggests that there is a secret that could doom the universe, and I believe the flood may be it. (Unless the precursors themselves decided to come back in full force.)

Or even the Didact. IDK.

  • Locke gets spartan armour- Sedra attacked- Locke given information about chief - (This is where all the new people to the halo universe learn about chief, like in halo 4’s beginning)- Locke finds out about chief and the arbiter- Locke meets the arbiter on sanghelios- They begin they’re search- Chief goes to the ark - alone- Chief gets visions of cortana (like in Halo 3) telling him what to do then disappearing- Chief is told to go and destroy a forerunner threat that is used to contruct shield worlds- Locke locate the place where chief was, only to find blown up forerunner artefact ( E3 trailer 20130- Locke and Arbiter are attacked by the covenant which they then trace their tracks to see where they were coming from- Locke finds a camp of the storm faction, however they’re all dead - All that is left is a red rose flower like thing on each of the bodies- Locke finds out that the flood is back- Chief gets more visions of cortana telling him to destroy installation 05 - not activate it.- chief does as such, however as doing so he sees some flood on the ring, but they don’t attack him but do attack the covenant and the promethians thing to prevent chief from destroying the ring.- Locke and the arbiter immediately notify the UNSC and ONI about the return of the parasite and immediately flee the ark but as doing so, the grave mind snatches locke and the arbiter away from the escape ship- Chief is told by cortana to kill the didactic once and for all - so he does- He then sees a vision where cortana is saying: Chief I’m here, come get me, please, chief, the ark, john please!- immediately he goes back to the ark, to where the signal is coming from- he is sees the grave mind and is captured as well,- Chief then learns the shocking truth that the cortana telling him what to do wasn’t in fact the dead cortana. When grave mind captured cortana in Halo 2 and 3, he possessed her, because that what the flood do - they control things. When cortana was rescued in halo 3, she was a flood infected AI - As evident in the very last cutscene of H2A. EVERYTHING cortana did and said in Halo 4 and 5 was merely an imposter. The real cortana was still somewhere in the remanence of high charity. Chief has been a pawn of the flood in halo 4 and 5: this is why chief had an incentive to kill the Didact, this is why he disobeyed orders in Halo 4 to kill the Didact, because forerunners are the floods greatest enemy, the only thing preventing them from thriving.- Chief learns of this and is shocked, so is the arbiter and locke- Locke and the arbiter escape, but chief is feeling too guilty, that he, he is the reason the flood are returning.- chief turns into an antagonist to the UNSC, the same way Halsey isBOOOM Is there any similarities between the Original trilogy and the reclaimer one? Yes, Halo 5 is practically Halo 2, and Halo 6 if this plot is right will be Practically Halo 3

Well what I come to occlude is that Arby, chief, ark ,flood. Will return but you bollth mentioned the didact I can’t come up with a theroy of the didact living the whatever happened in escalation I can’t imagine him living that. Oni conciders him contained but it looks like he died. We fought him once and chief did in escalation what else could happen two fights is enough plus escalation is a starting point for new players if they read it and knew nothing from the lore they wouldn’t underst it. It just seems he is dead he has to be.
