Halo 5 Campaign Discussion

title changed seems like there is only Halo MP discussion going on right now and it’s sad

343 has so many amazing character’s at their disposal right now it’s insane. I would love an amazing team up though for 5 sort of like the Avengers but at the end of Halo 5 have them come together.

First is Blue Team. If we are trying to develop Johns humanity what better way to do so then reuniting him with the people who he trained his entire life with and who can truly feel the same emotions as him. Also include the SPIII who escaped Onyx with them as well. Arguably the SPIII have the same mentality as the SPIIs. We pretty much know Thel will be returning as well so no need to include why he should return.

Now for the story, I would like 343 to continue with the tensions with ONI and UNSC. I feel they are pushing in this direction, as you can see the tensions in Halo Night Fall ep 1.

ONI VS UNSC - With events un folding It would be awesome IMO to have the UNSC find out that ONI has been secretly trying to have Thel killed and keep the flow of the Elites civil war flowing. Que the return of Lord Hood. Thel relized this on a mission with Locke. Locke’s alliance is with ONI , Locke manages to escape the clutches of Thel while they were searching for John. Lord Hood is contacted by Thel which causes esstinally a war between ONI v UNSC and Thels forces. With this Lord Hood is able to contact Blue Team and assigns them to find john before Locke. Thel is and some of his troops go with them. Along the way this causes there to be interactions/fights/kills with Spartan 4s vs the SPIIs.

Storm Covenant - since they are in possession of Catherine and seems she wants revenge she helps convinces Jul that he should be fighting ONI not the UNSC. Later the UNSC and Juls forces are fighting a common enemy which is ONI. Lord Hood reaches out to Jul and convinces him that it was ONI who had tortured him and that the UNSC truly wanted peace between humans and elites and explains how it was similar how to when the prohets had lied to his people.

117 - john is on a mission, a hopeless one. Trying to revive Cortana. Along the way though he finds
Mendicant Bias. Where he learns the Ur-Didact is still alive when he thinks since the Didact is still alive there is some possible way to revive Cortana. But since the Didact and John seems to have some connection he is able to locate where john is and Bias warns him, the didact is on his way with a full fleet. John then sends a beacon for the UNSC to pick him up, all the beacon says is “Olly Olly Oyxn Free”. UNSC pickups the signal and Blue Team is sent to pick up john.

Ur-Didact - the didact returns in the middle of a space fight with Covenant troops and UNSC vs ONI and the infinity. The Didacts fleet just starts slaughtering them all. Blue Team split up and they are able to take hijack and destroy a couple of forerunner and ONI ships. ONI retreats. Mendicant Bias pickups up signals from an unknown forerunner source that is supposedly supposed to help them. It is in fact 343 but not in oracle form they follow the distress signal to Seaward the forerunner planet first over run by the flood.

The librarian - since 343 is not in oracle form and cannot speak he is able to open doors for blue team and mendicant Bias through forerunner constructs. They find another librarian AI and ancilla. The librarian AI proceeds to tell them she survived the Halo firing and escaped to a cryptum which she placed on a Halo ring. She goes on to explain she was able to save some information from the domain. The librarian cannot leave the planet but the ancilla can and leaves with Blue Team. The ancilla and Mendicant Bias make a plan where they can trap the Didact in a Cryptum again after they release the librarian, then she would in a sence feed the domains information into the Didact while he is in the cryptum returning him to his original un corrupt state.

The flood - the flood return at the end of the game in their purest form. No better way for them to return as the galaxy is split, and all forces of every fraction is at its weakest. The test begins.

Sorry for any typos I did this on my phone.

What are your ideas and thoughts for CAMPAIGN.

Also I would like to add that Spartan thorne would join Blue Team through series of engaments with Blue Team. Also that Lasky would join Lord Hood as well and Palmer, Jun (since he over saw the SP4 program) , and Locke would become In a sence villains.

I ment in the beginning of night fall, the very beginning when they are in the drop ship.

I think the only place you’re going to find the discussion you’re looking for is HERE

Dude the ONI vs UNSC thing sounds so awesome. It might be better for a spin off maybe, which would give you the chance to play as the arbiter or the shipmaster. But dude its an awesome idea.

Hmmm true but Spartans would be included either way!

I don’t see an ONI vs UNSC thing going on. ONI is part of the UNSC. It’s like the US military declaring war on the CIA.

Am I the only one who’s a fan of ONI? Seems like everyone hates them for stirring up the Sangheili civil war…but are we forgetting this is a good thing for humanity? Elites are the #1 threat to humans because they have the most ships, a militarized society and a lot of irrational religious hatred for humans. ONI’s doing the smart thing.

The ONI and UNSC groups don’t seem to get along at all and never listen to each other it seems like ONI Is their own faction within UNSC. Kind of how like Hydra was in Captain America 2. It’s nothing like America declaring war on the CIA, ONI has major power in the galaxy as of now. The best of the best for ONI.

I don’t think killing the Elites is justifiable, in Halo 2 we see Elites are just mid guided and are willing to learn. With the proper peace making we could become strong allies.

Tell that to the Covenant Remnant. Or the large portions of Sanghelios who oppose the Arbiter and want to exterminate the entire human race because they see us as a threat. They’re damn right we are. But they started the fight. They attacked us and killed billions of humans, down to innocent civilians. They glassed entire colonies. It doesn’t matter if they were misguided religious idiots. It’s their own fault for being so gullible, and they STILL continue to act that way after the fall of the Covenant.

We’re way too forgiving of the Elites. This is like embracing -Yoink!- because he said he was sorry for WWII. The Elites don’t turn into wonderful people in Halo 2. They merely pulled their heads out of their -Yoinks!- and teamed up with humans in the interest of self-preservation, no more.

I’ve never liked ONI as to me they view themself in charge and the only competent, when it is the other way round. The UNSC is the competent one. As a pose to the campaign, I hope it turns out good. I normally play halo for the campgain and co-op play. Not to sure what to expect. But what males a good story is not what where it is or what goes on its what happens in it. Like Halo ODST it was a ruff sketch of a story but it made good. Like Reach as well. And Halo Wars.

If you name ONI to Spartans, yes there are a posible Spartan rebelion I think…
I think Mendicant Bias will have an important role in Halo 5.
My summary would be:
Chief looking for Cortana
Locke looking for Chief
Arbiter’s Faction against Storm Covenant
UNSC vs Prometheans
Didact was composed in Halo Escalation so now he is digital
Flood return
More sorprises ? For sure man it’s a new game and anybody knows about it
The only thing I ask for is please 343i MORE MISSIONS, Halo 4 is to short for me…
Good post man, nice to see people worried about campaign and not always for Multiplayer

Can’t wait for Halo 5. Halo is still my Favorite serious on Xbox. It would have been cool to fight on the ring again because i personally find the rings a beautiful by Bungie and now 343 making them such an amazing sight. they did amazing job on the graphics for Requiem. what I’m trying to say is i love the graphics of the Forerunner constructs so i cant wait for Halo 5

That is a very sensible, rational view point. I must say I never looked at it that way.

It sounds intriguing, although I’m curious how they will evoke emotion in the SII’s when their trademark demeanor has always been like John’s (pre-Halo 4). I thought that was a big reason why Locke was introduced, and the differences between the Spartan generations were brought to focus.

I want to know more about these “guardians”. What are they guarding (hiding)? Are they actual sapient beings with personalities, names, thoughts and emotions? Or are they just mindless robots like sentinels? These Guardians are arguably my favorite thing about Halo 5 thus far.
