It’s been over a week into Halo 5 and the game is great. I know there is an update coming soon so I just thought I’d submit some of the things I’ve encountered during my time playing which would create a better experience if they were sorted out in the update.
On the Campaign, during the last encounter with the Wardan Eternal (or rather, Wardan Eternal’s) if you jump up onto one of the four ammo/weapon spawn areas in the boss area, the Wardan can’t attack you at any range. The only damage you can receive is from the Wardans which aren’t attacking you off in the distance but even then you can just stand on the side they can’t hit you from. This basically means you can stand up there and unload on the Wardans as they come without actually putting in any effort. It took me less than 15 minutes or so to kill all of them on Heroic difficulty, so it kind of took the boss fight feeling away from it.
Online, in Warzone, whilst driving vehicles you have to drive slow and carefully now even while you are being pelted with enemy fire to avoid flipping or injuring yourself. Going over even the slightest of bumps on the road can take away a portion of your shields and in some instances where you have no shields left, can kill you. As well as the vechiles flipping over much too easily and being extreamly ‘slippery’. It feels like driving a car on ice most of the time which for an all-terrain vechile like the Warthog, is ridiculous. I’m a vehicle junky in Halo but these two issues make it hard to find that appeal on Halo 5. If they were altered to just be a little more ‘heavy’ or ‘on the ground’ like they were on Reach and Halo 4 I’d happily continue fuelling my addiction.
These are just a few very minor things that could be changed in order to make the experience all the more better.
P.S, if the Homebase Marines had a little bit of variety in fire arms as opposed to their ‘deployed on the field’ counterparts they’d give my core and I some peace of mind.
