Honestly though. This video is very insightful in the thought processes that gaming companies considered a success or not. But it does give you some good sales figures for the Halo 5 launch

This is not a Halo 5 bash video. If you watch it all the way through. You would see that

It’s worth pointing out that this video spoils the legendary ending in the first 30 seconds.

Other than that, it’s a good video. It does explain that Halo 5 was a successful launch. However, it doesn’t touch on how Halo 5 compares to its predecessors. By itself it was successful, but I’m more curious to know how much more successful it could have been if it had lived up to the Halo brand standards. The video does not delve into that.

Watched this last night. Very interesting. Seems unit sales are no longer the mark of a good game. Instead it’s unique users and how much/long they played. This makes perfect sense as we all know that high unit sales do not represent a game’s quality (Halo 4) and also puts focus on keeping gamers happy after the initial sale.
Destiny is already not releasing sales figures but not because the game isn’t doing well–it is the most watched game on twitch right now.

Kind of startling. It’s clear Halo 5 was not as successful as previous Halo games.

Exactly, we are going to have to wait till next 3 months to see how many active users Halo 5 has to see if it’s a success. Gaming success now with the advent of multiplayer is now about how many active users you can have for how long as possible.

Wasn’t even the Legendary ending, it was just the ending, He just said Legendary though I beat it Legendary Solo and the after credit scene was not what Abam said

Was not the point of the Video, It’s basically stating how the video game industry counts as a gaming success. As Pope stated, Halo 4 was a Launch success, but as a game it was a failure for the population practically died in a month.

So basically right now, Halo 5 is a “Launch Success” for 343I and -Yoink!- have already made a substantial profit. But if it’s a gaming success, we won’t know till we see it’s population in the next 3 months.
