Okay, I’ve posted about this before, but the breakout ranks in halo 5 are just straight up broken.
February 2016 season, I played with two other folks for the 10 games to get initial rank. We went 6 wins and 4 losses, Rshey who I was playing with got Silver 5 and I got Bronze 1. How does that make any sense? If you say it’s based on wins and losses it doesn’t… but even if it’s based on how well you do, I was in the top 2 on my team in every single round, and most of the rounds I was top.
So please explain it to me? Are there people that have broken rank? I’m about to give up on this game.
Is there an email for support? They don’t read these forums… Been dealing with this initial rank bug since release. I know it’s a rare bug but it is affecting people and it needs to be checked out…
I believe people are theorizing it’s also based on how much damage you do. I don’t have proof of this, but I’ve seen it suggested by other people. This also happened with I and 2 other people, we played the full 10 pre-games for Breakout. I ended up Plat 2, one ended up Plat 3, and our 3rd ended up as Gold 1. We didn’t understand how the 3rd ended up a full rank below us.

I don’t believe that for a second, I mean take a look at the screenshot I posted in that link, it shows side by side my k/d ratio with the friend of mine who got silver 5 from the same 10 games. I clearly was much higher in damage from those stats.
I wish they would just explain it, obviously people aren’t happy. But also, obviously something is very broken for some people and not broken for others… but here we are posting in their support forums and not getting any response… it’s a shame really…

I’ll bump this every day until it is acknowledged… does absolutely no good playing when you always get screwed by the initial ranking bug. Can we get some of these issues fixed instead of releasing new $25 arena req packs… you won’t have anyone left to buy them if you don’t fix the issues…
Now i’m being threatened by 343 that i’m going to get banned for posting in this post that is reporting a bug that is destroying this game for many people.
I can post more proof if you would like, I just want 343 to see this… sad that we get threatened when we are trying to help fix a broken game.

I doubt they’re threatening you, just remain calm and do not act hostile, you’re bumping your own thread which I believe Post Bumping is frowned upon and against the rules. I have no idea how the ranking system works but it is not on wins alone.
