This is meant as a thread for 343 to look at and consider but I’d also love to hear what the rest of you think on these suggestions. I’d also like to hear any of your feedback/suggestions on this subject as well!
I also have other topics on the rest of the enemies but altogether it was too big so I’ve separated them into their own topics to keep in line with the letter limit.
I know the team is plagued by time/game restraints but if most of these features could be added upon each other over time then that would be amazing! (because I gotta face that not all of these are gonna be added all at once in one game)
Bosses
I appreciate 343’s efforts to make boss like enemies and despite using the Warden over and over again I would consider the boss itself to be a success and one of the best boss battles made in any Halo game thus far.

Scarabs
I know 343 has been trying to re-create the experience through different machines like the Lich or Kraken but neither of those quite satisfy that itch. I think one of the big reasons for that though is because neither of those have the same random qualities to them that the Scarab did. The Kraken (as most people will be familiar with this fight) in itself is a very scripted fight and will offer less unique experiences then the Scarab did in Halo 3.
If the Scarab battles are never coming back then please please try making an enemy that is more random like the Scarab and not so scripted like the Kraken. -
Boss Variety and Jul-Madama
Try your hand at making a variety of unique boss battles! The death of Jul-Madama was a incredibly disappointing moment in the campaign not only because he was killed off so quickly but it was also limited to a cutscene instead of an epic boss battle! If it had been a boss battle then that would have been much more fulfilling! And who’s to say we couldn’t have a epic boss battle alongside an amazing cutscene after beating him?
I would encourage 343 to create boss battles out of all the different alien races. Not just the Forerunners. -
More Dynamic, Large Scale Boss Battles
While I’d like to somewhat stay away from more scripted boss battles I think that some could be done right. I can totally see fighting Forerunner or Covenant machines of considerable size from the outside (instead of simply just going inside to blow up the core). -
Lekgolo Bosses
The final thing I’d like to touch on is something that goes back to my point on creating various other ‘Hunter’ forms. In the Lost Planet games there were creatures called Akrid that came in many different sizes. The bigger ones became boss battles and I could totally see this sort of thing happening with Lekgolo worms when forming around different technology or huge suits of armor. Maybe a ‘Super Hunter’ could be made, much like the one seen in Halo Legends.
