First things first. Not trying to spark a war or to troll Halo 5. I am honestly just posting an opinion that I just realized I had after watching lots of gameplay from both H5 and BO3.
Black Ops 3 looks like a better version of Halo 5.
The two games have been becoming ever so similar. Most of you will probably say, “nah, COD takes no skill, etc”. And in the past that has been true. But the main thing that has kept that position intact was the time to kill, particularly of the automatics. Under the reign of 343, Halo has been drifting towards a less skill based game, that more resembles COD than it does past Halos (its why many of the old community grumbled, and now left). Faster kill times for autos, with less emphasis on precision weapons in particular has made it seem so, as well as other additions of COD staples.
All of that said, without any opinion. Please look carefully, it is rather objective.
Now with the final piece, the two movements schemes of Exos and the permanent AAs, being melded together, it is no longer easy to draw a distinct line between the two games. In fact I feel that Destiny, Titanfall, BO3/AW, and H5 (any “modern” shooter, as you guys would say), all seem like they were made by the same devs, each a slightly different prototype than the rest. All shooters, all similar kill times, all similar movements.Because of that, it is inherently more natural to start comparing the games, which for me was subconsciously. What I found myself thinking, just from watching the two games, is that Black Ops 3, is the more polished version of Halo 5. That it looks like the natural progression of Halo 5. The movement and gameplay just way more fluid. It doesn’t look like a plastic toy game.
It looks like a game that is highly competitive, and because of that, highly fun (something the old halos did well might I add). Halo 5 looks like it is encroaching on that territory, but isn’t quite there, and Black Ops 3 just does it so much better.
Hopefully Halo continues, it is truly a series that I like, just not how the game is being produced right now.
Just cause the last one was locked for no reason.
And to add, I’m not even bashing Halo 5, it looks like it will actually be a decent game. However, overall BO3 just looks way more entertaining, unless you’re into the whole plastic toy thing.

I did not insult, just merely made a hyperbole like the comment I was replying to. An exaggeration if you will. (AKA I don’t actually think its 5 year olds left on this forum, but he sure replied like one)
I could even argue that that person insulted me by not taking my opinion or post seriously. But you guys only ever side with the Halo fanboys
