343 please consider making big team a ranked playlist when it returns a month after launch. Ranked big team from halo 2 and halo 3 were some of my fondest memories as a halo player. Now that players have a social option (Warzone), I ask you please to give us competitive BTB players ranked back.
This is beneficial to both highly competitive players and more social players. In untanked BTB my friends and I run with a team of 8 and pretty much just destroy 8 random players and their guests. This isn’t fun for my friends and I and I know it’s no fun for our opponents. If you rank BTB and include party restrictions, this helps everyone out. Please consider it. Thank you.
There will be skill matching with BTB, there always has been. But ranked? Please no 8v8 rank doesn’t promote easy communication to become as competitive as slayer.
All playlists should be ranked with a few exceptions, Warzone is already an exception, playlists like Infection or Action Sack should also be unranked. ‘Standard’ gametypes all(Slayer, OBJ, FFA, BTB) should all be ranked as should Breakout as should most other permanent playlists.
So far we know that there will be two playlists: Arena and Warzone. I imagine BTB will fall under Arena so just like the other gametypes, I believe it’ll be ranked.
Uh there’s a lot more guests that play BTB since it does give more room for players so having that ranked when its easier to kill off noobs from a distance with a sniper and a tank. Its really up to the developers anyway they might have to change some things since the wraith is slimmer and I guess faster.
I’m not for that. I think a gametype that is typically massive and filled with vehicles should be more about fun, not about who’s better than other players.

Honestly, Ranked BTB (Halo 2 & 3) wasn’t about killing sprees, killionaires or “tryharding” though those were always awesome. It was about large scale teamwork. Meeting new people and making new friends. I loved it and hope it makes a return one day.

It was just about fun that’s why it shouldn’t be based on ranks. I mean people who play objective half the time don’t even play objective and even if they did they would get slaughtered by the jerks only going for kills. So playing without ranks would be fine no need to get bad match ups either. Plus if there is ranked you better get ready for those teams that are partied up against random people.

True 25% of the time. I remember always getting paired up with people who were in it to win. Granted I was a lvl eclipse? in Halo 2 ranked BTB. Once you found good players/friends you were set.
I’m just trying to defend that BTB Ranked wasn’t a casual playlist as some would make it out to seem. It was just as competitive as team slayer sometimes.
You just get the more impressive medals with more players. Noob or pro but more pros were in the ranked as I recall. Moons, Suns and eclipse I think it was in Halo 2. The BTB glory days lol
On one hand, its not really meant to be as competitive. Nothing to warrant adding a ranking index to it. On the other hand, it wouldn’t hurt to throw it in there…

Since no split screen, no guests AT ALL in Halo 5. (Which is why I am okay with no split screen, I think I’m actually going to prefer it this way now :P).
I should add that Halo Reach and Halo 4 more so killed BTB with Plasma pistol and plasma grenade starts… What was the point with that?.. Oh wait… I remember now lol
