Wild Theory I have just hear me out. So a while back there was a semi leak alluding to Halo Infinite having some sort of Battle Royal type game mode whether or not this was a false rumor or an idea that is floating around at 343i as a game mode that can take advantage of a “more open world” type game I have no idea. with Esports also announcing them putting Envy and a few other competitive teams on the roster we know their either fulfilling contracts already set (like we see with the food and mcx promotions) or they know something else. I’m fairly sure they won’t have gamers on the payroll for an entire year (roughly) before the game is released, which has led to a lot of speculation of Halo Infinite coming Spring 2021. Or maybe they would put them on payroll early because here is something weird I found… (this could be a coincidence). On the social arena playlist their is a gamemode called “Big Team Battle” which is not “Big Team Superfiesta”. I thought was only one “Big Team gamemode”. I have been playing Halo 5 for about 5 years now and I don’t ever remember their being two Big Team arenas (This could just be a second gamemode they opened because of complaining of randomised gamemodes like we get with Infection between contingency, Alpha Dogs, and standard modes which btw they need their own lobbies too lol). Either way big Team battles have a much larger map than a standard arena gamemode (their also unique to the game type) Thier smaller than Warzone but larger than arena. Now I had just gotten done playing a few games of Free for All ranked which I love but needed a break and love just the chaos of Superfiesta Big Team to switch things up. I thought I was going into that game mode but instead went into this other big team battle. When I played this gamemode (that is supposed to be causal) I got destroyed… and I mean like completely sweaty gamer squad, flat out spawn sniped/150 them 27 us destroyed. I played a couple games and every time I was absolutely annihilated, which for a 5 year vet of the game was pretty shocking. wondering if I just had bad team Rng (which is entirely possible as I don’t consider myself very good at the game, and am better at solo small player count games lol) or if maybe this gamemode is similar enough to something in Halo infinite were getting that teams are starting to train on. Listen I’m probably wrong but hell, I really am tired of awnsering repetitive questions in the community forums and need something fresh to talk about… What are your thoughts??

My thoughts? Halo Infinite could do with a Battle Royale.
Two quick points:
- Paragraphs are your friend - 343 has stated more than once that Battle Royale will not be a part of Halo (and for the love of all that is holy I hope they stick to that)If you want BR, by all means go and play the half dozen or so games that have a BR mode. I hear COD Warzone is still popular despite requiring terabytes of storage space… and I was a big supporter of that game mode because I felt it was well done. Now that I see how huge the updates are, and how often they seem to come out, I’m less enthusiastic, but still supportive.
Just please leave one game untouched by the BR trend for the rest of us to enjoy. I don’t feel like that’s an unreasonable request.
I’d like battle royale and BTB to be separate and successful game modes.

I hate it when my favorite games get intoxicated by BR, we lost Cod but please not Halo
