Halo 5 Beta Rank Question ( Don't understand the w

Me and my friend start playing at the same time 0 games each.

We play the 10 games to get our rank.

We win 9 out of 10 games. ( Lost the last game)

My KDA is around an 10.3 at this point ( Not anymore when you start playing better players)

His was around a 8

My KD around 2.0 having around 150-180 kills can’t remember

My friends KD was like a 1.2-1.5 He has less kills than me

So long story short we won the same amount of games. I had more kills than him over all and had a better ratio.

When we finally go to get our ranks.

I am a Gold 2 - He is a Onyx 2

How does this work? Anyone know? I’m not mad or anything it just doesn’t seem to add up. I played better than my friend in those first ten games, but his rank is a good chunk of change higher than mine.

You also have to take into effect assists. This game is finally truly rewarding players for assists. (this is wonderful news for warthog drivers) Assists play a huge part of this game. Also the skill level of the players you or he beats plays a part of it too.

I had more assists than him as well. We compared the stats we were sitting right next to each other, in every setting i had a better statistic than him, even less deaths, more assists, more kills, better KD

I am facing the same mystery at the moment -.-
my stats after ten games:
K: 123 D: 37 A: 66 → KDA 10.2
Games won: 8 out of 10…

When I finally won the tenth game I was hardly getting Gold 3…
One of my friends’ rank just hit the semi-pro section once he played 10 games

The only two ratios he is better are kills per game (mine around 12; his around 15) and medals per game (mine 26 and his 29).

Anybody know how this ranking system really works?

Anyone find a problem with the deducting of exp while loosing a game?

thats the point, when you quit or leave you loose XP

No what I’m referring to is when your team looses a match you basically loose the same amount of xp as you do if you win a game! It’s way out of balance!

It deducts wayyyyy more points than what you earn by winning. We’re talking 80-ish points here.

It’s because of the opponents you faced during the 10 wins. Your friend probably got matched up against opponents who were a higher rank than the guys you played against. The new ranking system factors in your opponents level as well as the wins.

Me and my friend had a very similar problem. I did just as good if not better then him in every stat and I was ranked in bronze and he was put in gold. I like how the ranking works with the separate SR rank and the competitive rank, but I wish the competitive rank made more sense.

Its because he beat better people ur k/d means nothing if you are matching silvers and bronze players

My friend and I…

I am seeing a lot of problems with the ranking system. Let me preface this with the fact I’ve been playing every game competitively since halo 2 and consider myself well above average.

After the first 10 games, my slayer rank became silver 3, after still getting used to the game. Now, I go into matches against onyx people and easily push a 2-4.0 KD. How in the hell did they get placed into onyx when they are that bad? It is so frustrating to try and rank up while going 20-5 and your teammates are like 3-17…

My rank for breakout is pretty ridiculous. My W/L for the first 10 games was 6/4, and every game I was on top with at least 8 or 9 kills and only a couple deaths. One game I went 12-0. Anyways, I was place in Iron 3…wtf?? I was playing against onyx/gold players for some of those games and still performing that well, how is this even possible?

This makes absolutely no sense. People keep saying there are plenty of factors, but this literally does not add up one bit…

343, I wouldn’t be so impatient and on such a short fuse but holy -Yoink- your previous release is still broken online, and I will never let it slip under the rug like you shamefully intend.

I’ve been playing since halo 2 as well, a very die hard fan, but I’m getting extremely annoyed with the same problem. It does not matter how well I do, it matters how well my TEAM does… My K/D on average is 2.5 since I’ve been playing, and my teammates is usually like .3??? How TF am I hurt because my teammates are scrubs? I just won 5 games in a row, my K/D was 3.5 for those games and I STILL haven’t went up in rank? Very annoyed, you should let bungie fix this game for you since you obviously don’t know what you’re doing

I’d rather get put into a lower CSR and work my way up to my goal CSR than get put in one that’s too high for my skill level.

Don’t necropost please. Look at the date of the last comment post… January 4th.
