will the halo 5 beta require the MCC game disk?
i have seen contradicting info

whats up with this? which is true?

The bulletin. The “game disc” bit is likely rhetoric left over from the pre-digital era, or it simply means, if you have a physical copy, you need the disc in the xbox to play the Halo 5: Guardians beta (like you did with the Reach beta and the Halo 3: ODST disc).

I think it’s just saying that the Halo 5 beta must be launched from within the MCC.

Regardless, direct quote from developer PR usually trumps ambiguous disclaimers.

It has to be launched within the MCC menu, digital or physical. It is inseparable from the MCC.
