So my buddy got the Halo 5 Beta early access and we have been switching off the controller and our control schemes (I prefer the new default while he sticks with recon) and I have to say most things about this game are VERY enjoyable.
Pros.
First off the game is balanced wonderfully, I feel like im never just getting destroyed without a chance of coming back.
The Graphics (Especially Truth) are absolutely stunning, great job.
Getting headshots gives you a satisfying sound and just feels great.
The AR is NOT OP, the smartlink for it sucks and you almost always win with a DMR or BR, even SMG.
Ranking makes sense, but obviously small sample size makes most ranks inaccurate during pre-Beta.
Magnum kills are just the best, just have to play it to see
Cons.
Ground Pound should require a minimum time before you can launch it to “power it up”
Truth can almost be too bright at times but probably for balacing.
Something about Empire makes it take alot of time getting used to
Spartan chatter can be just slightly annoying, nothing serious
Scrub Teammates, probably affected by low online population
Something about the Prophets Bane makes it only work good when youre sprinting
Either way the game feels so good I can’t stop playing it, maybe its not as traditional but my god is this game just a blast.
*NOTE: Please give the game atleast 5 matches, it takes some getting used to. I’ve seen posts where people gave up after a few matches and I don’t get it
