-Spartan chatter: players will have the option to turn this on or off in the settings menu

What do you think of these changes? I think the togglable features is the best change so far.
They addressed issues that many in the forums grieved about (and having stats on the anti-sprint debate helps - 11% against sprint). Definitely shows that those who properly participated in the feedback program were heard. The optional Kill-cams are a very welcome fix!

And frankly I don’t believe that’s a good representation of what it would really be.
But all the other notes are very fine indeed but I wonder if they can (or will) address the look of smart scope overall?

11% on a survey that was only available to 19k SELECT people. If you have an open poll, you’ll see much different results as seen by every Sprint poll that was on this site. Especially when there was no direct “Do you think Halo should have Sprint” question. Everything was beating around the bush and they got their numbers to be in their favor. GG 343. Enjoy making terrible games people will only play for 6 months.

That was kind of my point - if everyone against it would have followed through with the feedback instead of lashing out on the forums overall (or ignoring it entirely), the numbers might be closer to realistic percentages (although I still would think it less than 50%, it would be higher by a good margin).
That being said, the base speed adjustment (if done appropriately and not insignificantly) should be enough to close the gap with the anti-sprint community. Not saying sprint won’t be useful, but it might be even more directed in use than it already is (for those that support the mechanic).
At least 343 is listening to those that can follow the format and present information in a constructive manner. A give and take.

Wow, you’re mad about a survey result. What’s next?

Select? It was available to anyone participating in the program. Why would they take feedback from people that merely watched the game in motion, or neglected to be involved at all?
That’s essentially like a referee taking input on calls from the audience during a game (pick a sport). That is ridiculous.
Not to mention I addressed the numbers in my other response. No survey on earth would be 100% accurate, and a smaller sample size will yield more skewed results. So quit the flaming, and move om. You strike me as one of those fans that will always find something wrong with a game. They are compromising and adjusting the game, while not taking back everything they have done. If you can’t accept that they are trying at that point to make a game with older fans in mind, then your opinion on the topic is not warranted anyway.

This site is an even more select sample than that survey. I would venture to say that if you were able to poll the entire population of folks who will buy H5, you’d find the 11% to be much closer to the mark than the Waypoint percentage.
Just an opinion.
And before you accuse me of anything, I am a no-sprint fan.

I certainly couldn’t join this program… so my voice is silenced.
For me that 11% is a big lie. I am not in favor of Sprint and so does a large Halo community. That Halo Feedback program, is full of biased people.
Also, the Rocket launcher will not be in all maps as we use to know it, it will be back as a “legendary” weapon, which means it’s like the “Prophet’s Bane” replacing the “Sword” in different maps.

And what stopped you from participating in the program, exactly? Silenced is a bit over the top - the forums have been rampant with out cries and the results of the poll echo what has been said here.

Disagreeing with a survey result does not make it a lie. They are catering more to the older fans with further movement alterations for sprint (basespeed, delta), and how that makes it biased for that is astonishing. Feedback is always biased, that is the point. It took into account the opinions of those participating. Your no-sprint platform is biased, and you saying it represents a large part of the community is (without 100% of Halo fans polled for certain, there will never be a concrete amount of who is on what side, so saying it is large is biased. Large compared to what?).
I agree many on these forums are against sprint. 11% of 1900+ is quite a bit, though…
I couldn’t find a way to join through web browser so I assume this was only through something via Xbox One? If so then I couldn’t because I do not own one.
Forums are rampant sure but how much of it is actually viewed and taken into account by 343?

How do you provide feedback for a game you aren’t even playing? I pointed that out in my post. Not to mention the feedback started at Waypoint, as users involved in the beta were directed toward.
Did you read my post at all before responding to it?

Yes, I’ve done my homework though with Halo 5 and I can still give feedback on Halo as a whole.
So it was Waypoint huh? I thought that was missing for some reason haha.

Which is precisely why these forums exIst. However, the Beta feedback Program was for players actually playing the beta. I’m sorry for your confision, but there were instructions (and a dedicated forum) all over this site, and linked to every article practically referencing the program/beta on game sites (even non-gaming specific sites with articles on it). I’m sorry you couldn’t find out where to go.

Eh, it’s fine. They talked about most of the problems with the latest update anyway.
Though there are a couple of things I’d still like to see them address/talk about.
Also I was aware of the program but admittedly rather late, sorry about that lol.

False. It was only available to North Americans. On top of that, 19k people when the game has over 100k pre-orders already… let the numbers do the talking. Also let the questions and their wording do the talking. They said “nearly 11% of HCFP participants felt that Halo should not have sprint.” That means that 11% said they don’t want sprint. But how many people answered one of the other 4 options? Like the option of “I don’t like sprint, but it could work with tweaks” or the other options that didn’t favor sprint, but were optimistic about sprint? They skewed the numbers to match their game so they don’t have to go back to the drawing board. Why do you think we aren’t seeing the actual results. They are selectively giving us the results they want so they can support their own decisions. There have been multiple polls on not only Waypoint, but Reddit and other sites and all had the majority of the population against sprint. So why is it the only poll that says people prefer sprint comes from the people making the game? People don’t want sprint and it even shows by the fact that they are making the base movement faster and reducing the speed of sprint. It’s basically going to negate most of sprint’s uses, but it’s still going to leave the unnecessarily large and boring to play on. If people really wanted sprint that bad, they wouldn’t have changed a thing about it.
