Halo 5 beta community feedback

I want to know the Halo communities feedback on the beta from what I’ve read its been either a hit or miss. My opinion I like the game, but my only flaws with the game are the ranking system used for CSR, weapon balancing. I believe the starting weapons are too strong I understand the whole balancing with same loadouts and I’m not sayin bring them back, but the assault riffle is too strong take it back to the halo 3 AR and the magnum is a iffy one to me I would say lower the fire rate a little or the damage either way it would be fine, but what’s everyone else’s opinion and feedback of it?

All the kill times are too fast, slowing them down just a little would be a huge improvement. I wouldn’t mind the AR being this powerful if it wasn’t the default starting weapon. As it is now it is a pseudo-power weapon comparable to the shotgun or grenade launcher. If they made it a map pick up weapon like those it would be A LOT more balanced. BR could easily take its place as starting weapon and that would cement even more the “competitive” angle they are approaching this game from.

Base movement speed should be raised a little to make the maps seem a little smaller. Shields should either get an improved recharge time or not get reset while sprinting. If the timer just paused when you started to sprint that would be a lot better. Jump height should be increased, and crouch jump should be brought back. Ground pound should require you to crouch and then beat down in the air to allow for crouch jumps return. I like unlimited sprint, I like ground pound. If crouch jump came back it should allow you to make most of the jumps you are required to use clamber to make. You should still be able to clamber, crouch jumping would just allow people to make that jump without going into the animation and being unable to shoot. It would raise the skill gap a little.

They should bring the weapon indicators from H2A back. They need some way to tell you that grenades are close to you. It should be a sound like how Reach did it, and be very visible when they are being thrown at you. They should bring back the icon when you walk over weapons instead of spelling out the names of the weapons. They need to make spartan chatter, the intro and ending animations, and kill cam toggleable.

I like a lot of what’s going on in the beta, it just needs to be fine tuned.

EDIT: Thruster needs to be able to be used twice like evade in Reach, or it needs a faster recharge.

I really have enjoyed the beta the times I have played.

My biggest issue is that you do not always have to hit the other player to get credit. Game has time to go though so I am sure that will be worked on. Anyway, the hip firing is fine but when I shoot and hit the wall and obviously miss it is strange to get credit for kills. I learned that game one and have been doing it since. Also, just because the player leaves view do NOT stop shooting. The last 1-2 bullets could still count and give you a kill. I have been credited for kills after moving behind a wall to reload. And also after moving behind walls to recover as long as I kept shooting.

Also, almost feels like a damage penalty when ADS. Not sure if there is supposed to be one but with a setup of a player standing still it took a few more shots with the pistol than just hitting a few shots without ADS.

Melee is a little strange as well. I had a player quickly go past. I hit the melee button and was credited with the kill. Not sure why. My melee was delayed for a second or two.

Overall I had fun. Could see this being a game I would play MP on a decent bit.
