Now though Halo 5 is definitely a step in the right direction to the original fans, I find it could do without Ground Pound, spartan charge and sprinting, kind of relative to the saying ‘Less is more’. Of course, I’m not saying to do what Call of Duty has been doing where they just kept the same engine and whatnot for years, but the Original halo the Hardcore fans used to love from Halo 1-3, while also adding additional features that WORK with that same experience… rather than adding things to appeal to a difference audience that isn’t their own. All of these abilities like Sprint Thrusters, Wall Climb, Ground Pound, spartan Charge, smart scope, sprint and even the emphasis on power weapons just takes away from what Halo is supposed to be, it all makes the environment too fast paced, its like all they have in mind is MLG. What made halo great was the nice Mid/Slow paced environment, it wasnt that complicated and it was just nice, it was refreshing to play and definitely not generic like it is today. Its like all 343 does is shove gimmicks down our throat and try to appeal to the CoD/MLG crowd, but like I said, they are going in the right direction and its definitely good that ordinance and all that crap are gone. To me and from what I can see, many others… so far Halo 5 is generic, its not its own thing anymore, just as Halo reach and 4 were.
jesus
Not really sure what your argument is. Have you played the game? The additions mostly take a lot of skill to use. Skill is what makes Halo Halo. I don’t think they should remove features just because you could do without them.
Sprint is actually really balanced now. If you’re getting shot at, you can’t even sprint, and your shields won’t recharge while sprinting. Most people who try to sprint with low shields get taken out by my team mates. You’re better off spamming a few nades for an assist than running away.

Thats true, I was thinking Sprint is decent now, like I couldnt stand it in Halo 4 or Reach but its definitely better here, it did save me a few times in the Beta this weekend, but I still cant say its better than what halo used to be, I think it has to do with how fast paced the environment is, like for me its uncomfortably fast paced and I just cant enjoy it to its full potential, I think there should also be the ability to turn off the kill cam and what not haha But thats exactly what my complaint is, the additional abilities add a new mechanic to the game which makes the game more complicated, to me its unnecessarily complicated whether I’m good with them or not, like its not necessary, Halo was sort of a strategically skilled based game whereas it turned into a fast paced skill based game, relative anyways. Like It used to be slow paced, now its extremely fast paced
though these are all just my personal thoughts on the matter. Halo is skilled based without all of these unnecessary abilities, like actual skill, you’re aim, you’re strategy, memorization, using your radar and what not.
OP, I was interested in what you had to say, but run on sentences, no periods, and lack of paragraphs - lazy. Get stuffed. I have no time for blatherers who want to say it all, but can’t be bothered to make it readable.

My apologies, I was super tired.
