I wasn’t a huge fan of the halo 4 design for the br. I didn’t dislike it, it just looked a bit plastic and bland, despite the brighter colours. but when i saw the halo 5 desgin, with ever so slightly darker tones and a red dot sight, i just thought it looked awesome. the red dot sight may be completely different from the acog (or whatever it is, im not a gun expert) that we’re used to, but i feel it fits the design a lot better. What’s your opinion?

I really like the new colors for the BR (H5). I am leaning towards the H5 scope but I am not sure.
I like both of them.
The Red Dot Sight on the H5 version looks…not sci-fi. I’d like to see it in first person before passing judgement though
Halo 5’s Battle Rifle is gorgeous in every way, shape, and form.
Bring on the visual updates. And actually I think it would be kind of cool if they retooled the BR a bit more and change its role slightly, if that makes the sandbox better overall. On appearance alone though, I’m liking the new design direction.

The rifle, yes. The sight, no. With that said, I don’t really like the H4 sight, either.
But the H5 rifle design is, indeed, beautiful.
I use to love the Halo 4 BR, then I saw Halo 5.

The Red Dot Sight on the silenced SMG didn’t look sci-fi either.
Neither really look like BRs but I do prefer the H5 version.

That because its the BR85HB SR series of Battle Rifles.
Oh my, the Halo 5 Battle Rifle does indeed look gorgeous. I don’t mind the red dot sight, it looked pretty good on the Silenced SMG, in my opinion. Black actually suits the Battle Rifle well in this case. Do you guys think this is the same model as the Halo 4 Battle Rifle-the BR85-but just a different variant? Or do you think this is an entirely new model?
I don’t really know. I like them both just as much, (a lot) but I think that they’ll probably suit the tones of their individual games more.

The Halo 5 one with the black just seems out of place. For some reason I don’t like that black paint job. The grey on the Halo 4 one did fit this BR’s design a lot more in my opinion.
I actually like the new design, so long as the red dot sight works the same as the regular scopes the BR has had in the past, it’s fine with me.
I’m all for the new scope if the cross hairs don’t look completely stupid.
I like Halo 4 Br better. The yellow strip looks better on the lighter gray and the square scope was a nice evolution to the Br.
Going dark is ok, but that dark faded yellow doesn’t sit well on my eyes
