Halo 5 audio problems

Hey guys, I own a pair of astros a50s headset gen 3 and had them for about two years now. But I moved into my own place and had my grandfather put up some pictures for me. The pictures fell and dropped on my astros mic. So he went to walmart and bought replacements cords because the cords were the only thing damaged , besides a scuf mark on the mic. Turns out my audio sometimes is turned way down. But it’s the gunshots that’s turned down but I can hear the announcer but low volume gamplay. Hence, the cords he bought from walmart are not the same cords that came with the headset itself. Should I buy the exact cords from ebay that came with the headset? Can i use different brand name cords with my gen 3 ? Please help. And i also reinstalled the game.

On a similar note, the audio sometimes is flawed in the same way for me, but my good quality earbuds are fine. Perhaps it’s a network audio problem? I’ve also noticed that the audio and mic don’t work when I use the headset that came with my Xbox one. My brother’s good headset also has the same audio issues. Perhaps those are hardware flaws in the audio jack on Xbox controllers?

This low volume thing you’re describing, does it happen frequently? And how are the volume levels of the less important sounds like your Spartan breathing and slamming down after a ground pound? I have noticed something similar happen more often than it should, where the levels for less important sounds will remain normal while all the other more important audio will be muffled. Seems like a bug that rights itself the next match.

Yes it happens frequently. Only in multiplayer though.
