Halo 5 at spot 10

A few days ago, Halo 5 was placed at spot number 8 of the most played games on XBL. Now, it’s dropped to spot number 10. At this point, I think everyone’s complaints about the game are valid. If they weren’t, Halo 5 wouldn’t be hanging on by a thread.

Its better than 11

It should be in at least the top 5

WHO CARES?!?! SHUT UP ABOUT THIS CRAP!!

i seriously don’t give a monkey’s poo as long as i find matches quicker than i need to take a piss.

I either like a game or I don’t. I don’t need the warped opinions of millions of teenaged gamers to tell me whether a game is good or not.

If being #10 on the most played games on XboxLive is the biggest of issues, than things seem pretty alright. Most games probably never crack the top 20 let alone top 10.

I still consider this surprisingly good for what lack of content it has.

Fast paced, low ttk shooters are now the norm. In addition to this, Halo is still reeling from brand problems following a disastrous MCC. When you destroy consumer confidence, it is a very slow and painstaking process to rebuild it, hence why Halo 5 had relatively low sales for a Halo game. A significant minority of former players disowned 343’s halo for that. Considering the confidence issues the Halo name had coming off of one completely broken release, the loss of consumers to attrition as they have grown up, the different market for FPS games now (though it is quite possible ot is about to under go a significant change again before too long, as COD is going into a slow but steady decline its self… We’ll see where the market ends up in another half decade.) and is sorry excuse for launch content (I think that this is one criticism which you could definitely say is shared by everyone and self evident) its a testament to the quality of its gameplay that the game is holding a top 10 worthy player base at all.

I only play video games if they’re the most popularist video games at the exact moment we’re taking so I can look cool to all of my friends.

You should. Because if less and less people play, the longer it will take to find games later in the game’s life cycle. It’s simple math.

You do if you want consistent, quickly found, fair matches, but you know, it’s totally not as if high Champions are facing low Platinums and sometimes lower on a consistent basis.

This whole, “I don’t care, as long as I can find a match!” is so beyond naive.

You do realize that that most played games changes A LOT right… I can’t change hour from hour. It goes by server population. I have seen H5 not even in the top 12 at times. It is never above #7 anymore and it’s not to often it’s even at #8.

Why does it matter?

As long as you find a game it really doesn’t matter all that much. This isn’t 2007 where only two main multiplayer games were played on Xbox Live.

Besides with the launch of each update people tend to hope back on.

People will care when the populations down to 500

Population matters because… #1 if you want even skill based matchmaking you need a healthy population to choose from to make games. #2 with low population the less likely 343 will be to add more playlist because they will be afraid it will further dilute the populations of other existing playlist. #3 they will be less likely to add more content. They will figure why put time and money into some thing not many are playing.

I’m sure someone at Microsoft will care when they notice a decline in REQ Pack revenue.

All the casuals want Battlefront or COD to play zombies. If that’s what people really want then I’m glad they’re all weeded out and away from my team(s). I like the Battlefield games but I will always come back to Halo. My cousin has tried many times to get me to buy COD, I’ve said “no” in so many different ways…

its sad

This. Who cares how popular it is so long as you think it’s good? I certainly don’t care.
