Halo 5 at E3 2015 NEEDS to be 100% campaign

1) We know VERY little about campaign as of now. I was super hyped for all Halos except for this one, because I know very little about the story. All we know is that Chief is rogue and Locke is a new character. That isn’t enough information to get me hyped like I was for Halo 4, or Halo 3, or Halo 2.
1.5) I am slightly worried about Halo 5’s campaign and story because the lead writing department hasn’t proven to be as good as it could be, click this sentence for more details. I would like to make sure 343i is focusing on Campaign just as much as multiplayer.

2) Every Halo at E3 focused on the campaign. Halo 4 had a great E3 2012, showing the new campaign innovation (the Prometheans and their guns are a new innovative concept to Halo). Halo 2 at E3 was amazing too, showing the new campaign innovations like dual wielding and vehicle jacking. It looked totally revolutionary. That campaign alone was far more revolutionary and complex than any generic FPS campaign that would come out today (Battlefield/CoD).

3) Halo is different from most FPS games like CoD and Battlefield because it actually has a good singleplayer, story, and soundtrack. The Campaigns in Halo are the core experience or at least just as important as the multiplayer.

4) For Halo 5: Guardians to compete with other games shown at E3, it needs to show that it has a powefull singleplayer to get people to buy the game as well, Uncharted 4 will be singleplayer focused, Zelda/Mario/Metroid will be singeplayer focused. To compete with other platforms, Halo 5: Guardians needs to show of its single player and that it is different from most generic FPS singleplayer.

5) Singleplayer is just as important as Multiplayer in Halo. When the first Halo game was shown at mac world, it was all singleplayer. Multiplayer was just an aditional bonus mode to Halo CE. The story and lore of Halo is it’s core.

6) to show off Halo 5: Guardians best graphics, the campaign is the best place to demonstrate it. Halo has always been known for its incredible graphics (in console standards). Halo’s jump to next gen should shine. The graphical difference between Halo 2 and Halo 3, should be the same graphical difference between Halo 4 and Halo 5. Show off the campaign’s graphics!

Multiplayer is important, but with the Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer beta, and all the current Halo 5: Guardians vidocs we have seen up to now have been nothing but Multiplayer. To balance it out, I want to see Halo 5: Guardians’ E3 2015 presentation 100% Campaign and 0% Multiplayer.

I hope 343i reads this, and makes the campaign the star of E3 2015’s spotlight.

No, i don’t want spoilers. So i want to see 1 mission and other mods, includedBTB (32vs32), but only 1 mission of the campaign.

Well… I’m pretty sure campaign will be a focus - but why must it be 100%?

I’m pretty sure there will be news about H5’s new MP modes too… if you expect 100% you’re setting yourself up for disappointment.

I want new campaign info as much as anybody but I don’t get what you want to say.

Did I miss anything?! There was just one ViDoc so far if I remember correctly…
343 needs to step up their PR for everything! Their secretiveness is nithing but annoying…

A section of an early Locke mission followed by a quick but epic Campaign trailer with minimum spoilers- please and thank you.

Sorry but I want at least 20-30% dedicated to mp to show us beta differences and talk about BTB because that’s going to determine whether or not I pickup the game new or not. They didn’t abandon the MCC completely and they’ve changed a significant amount of my gripes with Halo 5 in general from the beta and please just make the gameplay from the first mission or so we don’t give anything away. If the flood or brutes come back I want it to be a surprise rather than just counting the moment until they return because I already know.

Exactly. Needs to be campaign focus, but I need me some multiplayer too

They should show campaign in a nice manner(actual gameplay and not just cinematics), but also some things about the multiplayer that we couldn’t see in the beta, like vehicles and BTB.

Wouldn’t mind seeing some Campaign, but not enough to end up spoiling anything important, i feel they showed too much for Halo 4, but thats personal preference.

Some information with regards to player counts for the new BTB and some info about Objective game modes would be grand as well

They only have like 5-10 minutes of showtime for their E3 conference because there are several games that everyone need to get through. I want those 5-10 minutes to be dedicated to campaign. But after their E3 show is over I think thats when they should show some footage of multiplayer and btb stuff, like in the booths and post e3 interviews.

well 5-10 in the press conference on day 1 but they would have more time on the latter days. also there usually aren’t any major campaign reveals until the E3 of the year of release anyway so its not weird we haven’t seen all that much.

Considering that we went into Halo 4 knowing almost every bit of the story (except Cortana’s death), I would rather not be told anything about the campaign this time around. I mean, let’s be honest here, do we really need to know the details before buying the game? Knowing things won’t really help anybody make up their mind about the game, since it won’t show us the quality of writing.

But sure, let’s assume that they do show us some campaign (which I will do my best to avoid), then maybe they can show something like 10 minutes, max? Or maybe just have a short trailer incorporating campaign and multiplayer footage. Either way, 100% campaign isn’t an idea I can get behind. I would love to dive into the game and have no idea what’s coming.

Agreed. We’ve been deluged in multiplayer info, but there’s been practically nothing on the campaign front. Any campaign gameplay - demo, trailer, whatever - would be greatly appreciated.

I get where your coming from, but I’m sure 1 campaign level won’t spoil too much. They have done that for EVERY Halo game and no complaints.

really because i remember quite clearly people complaining they didn’t show enough, And really we didnt know every bit of story. Nothing compare to halo 3 and reach where they literally showed every level in some form or another

Well, not necessarily 100%.

I am with you in the campaign aspect though. Halo to me is the campaign experience first and foremost.
So long as I’m given a good general idea on the Halo 5 story, I’m fine.
And a snippet of gameplay in a level that doesn’t spoil stuff would do wonders on getting me excited.

But at the moment, all I know DIRECTLY about Halo 5 is that Chief is missing and Locke is trying to find him.
And that we’ll be playing as Locke.
Not so much exciting material, especially since I’ve found Agent Locke to be a dry character.

Here’s what halo 5 will be. Remember noble 6. Well he is really agent locke. trailer says something about sewn in his past. he is looking to help chief. Remember the elite at the end of reach. Arbiter. Yes there is time travel. Boom

What they showed at E3 2012 before Halo 4 was released was perfect. It was a campaign space from early in the story but it didn’t give anything away but still showed us a lot. It was then followed by a trailer showing us brief glimpses of the first 5 missions. I’d be content with them doing his again.

I know right? Halo 4’s e3 was beautiful. Only issue is that it didn’t have a proper gameplay trailer/commercial.

As dry as Locke may be at least he isn’t an annoying character like Team Majestic or Dr. Glassman. Hopefully Halo 5 will show him to be a good character.
