Halo 5 armour adaptations idea.

Hey people, after reading ideas on other threads, i have devised an idea on how we could evolve armour for Halo 5.

With each part having “perks”.

Now, before you reply, hear me out. If implemented properly it could make for some really interesting loadouts for use in MP-and we can always have “Classic” playlists that doesn’t make use of these “Perks”.

Now.

At an overview of your Spartan armour, it would have an overview of the totals of all the “perks”. An example of this is below:

Recruit Armour:

Sheild Capacity: 100%
Sheild Recharge: 100%
Health Capacity: 100%
Speed: 100%
Sprint Duration: 100%
Jump Height: 100%
Mass of Armour: 100%
Armour Ability Duration: 100%
Adaptations: None

Now. The Recruit Armour would be the staple basis that the system would work on (or whatever the default armour is)and this staple would be the default player on Halo 4.

When you pick the armour, the stats would come up alongside it explaining what exactly it would do for your spartan. The mass factor is perhaps the most valuable. With less mass, the faster the spartan goes, and the higher the jump, but at a cost of say sheilding.

Sometimes the armour would allow special adaptations, like say a special knife for unique assassinations, or ammo belts for an extra clip ect… or even things like underwater operations, so spartans could get across parts of maps others can’t, but it would have a soft kill barrier for these.

So, for the Air Assault armour we could have things like:

Sheild Capacity: 80%
Sheild Recharge: 110%
Health Capacity: 100%
Speed: 115%
Sprint Duration: 110%
Jump Height: 120%
Mass of Armour: 80%
Armour Ability Duration: 130%
Adaptations: Extra AA Duration-Jetpack/thrusterpack ONLY

Now, of course the armour could be mixed and matched, but the “perks” would all add together anyway.

So for each armour piece you have something like:

Chest Plate
Sheild Capacity: +10%
Sheild Recharge: -10%
Health Capacity: NA%
Speed: -5%
Sprint Duration: -5%
Jump Height: 120%
Mass of Armour: +10%
Armour Ability Duration: NA%
Adaptations: Ammo Belt-extra clip for starting UNSC weapons.

So that pretty much sums up my visions for armour.

Just to reiterate-this could either be a specific playlist thing only, or have specific playlist for the exclusion of these features so that everybody is happy.

Makes choosing armour more tactical instead of playing barbie dress up with them.
