Am I the only one that notices that 343 Industries has some major hatred towards the Mark V? I mean, it’s why they’ve butchered it’s design numerous times. The only variant of it that wasn’t murdered was back in Halo CE: Anniversary and Halo 4, the Mark V Alpha or whatever the heck that abomination is supposed to be is a nightmare. To be HONEST, I’m surprised they kept the Noble armor and what is in essence Noble Six’s armor being featured in Hammer Storm, the Decimator, the only one’s that they haven’t murdered the design of too much. I’m really shocked that they kept those okay, but like to make the Mark V in it’s original form look either too stubby, too bulky in certain areas, or just murder it in other ways. I don’t see how 343 even had a heart to let the design go into the game without saying “hey this is not supposed to look like this at all.” xD I mean, have you saw the Mark V helmet? It looks so bad, but I know they won’t change it. I’m not saying I won’t wear it when I get it, but I still won’t be pleased at how it looks… They should’ve kept the Mark V helmet from Halo 4, and used the arms from Halo 4 as well with it. Back in Halo 4, the forelegs were too skinny, and now it’s the armor being too mis-proportioned in the arms and helmet.
Basically…343 Why? xD Why do you do this!? Why do you hurt such an iconic design! This is blasphemy!
While I liked the Halo 4 one at the time, I have to say the Halo 5 one is the best with the Halo Reach helmet being the worst, disliked that one as soon as I saw it.
I at least love the Mark IV because it was theirs and Ensemble Studios version. That’s because anything they made has to look the best to them. But they just don’t know how to keep armors looking original enough. I mean yes the Mark VI in matchmaking retains original features, as does the Mark IV, or the Noble helmet…but anything Halo Combat Evolved related is looking pretty scary.
I would hope that the alpha Mark V is some crappy prototype of it with the original to arrive soon, but I don’t see 343 being that kind hearted, ever. That’s like seeing them being in Hayabusa. If they do it won’t be what the fans remember it being. -_-
I just don’t like the massive amount of armors we have, I would prefer a smaller amount of more unique armors with no variants. Such as all of the Mark VI (I think that’s 6, I don’t know Roman numerals.) variants, which are all just the same helmet with a tiny bit of different paint.
