This is a small grievance but the Halo 5 armor avatars here on Waypoint have way worse quality in rendering the image in comparison to the Halo 4 armor avatars. Why? It bothers me how low resolution my armor configuration looks on my avatar and on my service record. Can this be cleaned up 343. I know it’s not a big deal but it seems like it would be an easy fix. Also it’ll make it look nicer when customizing the armor online.
yep, and it should also show your chosen stance…really its kind of unattractive right now…stances are also almost worthless.

It’s because the graphics for rendering it completely the way it is in Halo 5 would either take more space up on their cloud, or possibly can break someone’s PC since it’s heavy on Graphics.
In all honesty, I have no idea what I just said.

lol thanks for the honesty.
but seriously… The avatars should at least look as nice as the halo 4 ones. They are at least crisp. These Halo 5 avatars looks so blurry and undefined.

Yes especially since Halo 4 also shows current stance. Why isn’t this implemented?
I find of annoying as well. You wouldn’t think it would be too hard to fix, but who knows?
True, the avatars feel lame and low quality.

I don’t get it either… its not shown at the end of a match or anything… seems easy to do
Yeah, I would rather it not even display the spartan than what we have now. :x
Did the Spartans always have somewhat of any animation on Waypoint? I don’t remember them being there… But they are there now. If this is true then it suggests they have the capability to improve things as time goes on. I hope that they do.
Indeed, I’ve felt the same way.
I really hope there’s an update…
It’s now past just mid-February and our H5 avatar models are still at an annoyingly low resolution. Every day when I visit Waypoint multiple times I have to constantly view this crap, and it gets highly annoying to continue to see something that shouldn’t look anywhere near as bad as it does. It’s ridiculous when you consider the higher quality of H4 models that are from a game that came almost 3 1/2 years ago. I thought that it was a early display phase right after the site got updated for H5, hoping that it would get better, but it’s still the exact same. I’m actually slightly embarrassed to display this blob of undefined mess as my avatar, so I still use my more advanced H4 model. Currently, our H5 models look like they went back in time to around/before the turn of the millennium in terms of webpage display capabilities.
