So heres one for you guys. So u do u preliminary 10 matches and u get ranked say silver 3. your buddy does the 10 matches with out you and he gets gold 1. Would i still be able to play with him. Will the match consist of a blance of ranks? Will it favor the higher rank? Will it favor the lower rank?
I would assume it will take an average of the 2 ranks and match appropriately. I doubt they will limit the ability to play with your friends if they are higher rank.
As stated above it will either average or group you with the highest rank.
I think it will place you in a rank game that is between your two ranks like Joshes said.
Whilst it would make sense to find an average it could be possible that it searches for the ranks of the host, although that could easily be exploited so I very much doubt that.
