I’m not sure if everyone’s seen, or more importantly heard-- but there’s been a new map revealed for Warzone, Raid on Apex 7, and it has an awesome trailer. No, before you get all giddy, it’s not gameplay. It’s actually a Megablocks build that shows off the general layout of the map… I personally think it was an interesting idea, others might disagree. Anyway, that’s not the point of this thread.
I want to talk about the music that’s playing in the background.
Being a music aficionado, not only is the music the first that I noticed, but it completely pulled me in. It’s fantastic!
It’s subtle tones, as it arches up to that anxiety filled crescendo. It’s perfectly beautiful.
The combination of the strings, synths, dat bass, and those vocals behind it all. Just the way it sent shivers down my spine, and the raw emotion that it evokes-- WOW! Kazuma Jinnouchi has done some absolutely, unequivocally, fantastic work with this track, and I honestly can’t wait to hear the rest of the OST for Halo 5: Guardians. Now, I don’t say this lightly, but this track has quickly risen to be one of my favorite out of the entire Halo franchise.
Enough about my opinion, what did you think about the new track?
I liked it! It felt new (cause it was duh), but it also felt like it harkens back to Marty’s style, which I loved.
Totally, it really brings back that nostalgic feel with the chanting, and the general style of the song. Even without it having anything from previous tracks, it still feels like it could fit in anywhere.
Also, I hope I’m not the only one who got a John Williams’y, Star Wars esque, vibe from it all, right? Just so good.
The whole song felt like Star Wars. Not bad didn’t remind me that much of Halo, but there will be new with old. With the return of Chief and introduction of Locke, there will be familiar classic music and a new take on the music. This one sounded nice, but not having an -Yoink!- like people are claiming to have. I’m sure there will plenty of better tracks, hopefully, but I doubt this one of the stronger ones.
This song was in the E3 campaign demo. The part when the bridge is falling, but yeah it’s a really cool soundtrack.
It is good, but it doesn’t seem like it will be all that memorable like a lot of other halo tracks.

Too electronic for Star Wars. The peak fit that style, but not much else.
I agree it is awesome! I am pumped to see what Jannouchi has in store for us with Halo 5, especially the difference in the tones for Locke vs Chief’s missions. I can see the guardians rising up to this song
