Halo 5 and the Xbox one S

Hello Spartans, I’ve been out of the loop for the past 2 months. Just graduated from Coast Guard bootcamp, now a full fledged Coastie.

Anyway, I sold my Xbox to a buddy and now I’m looking into getting a new one. the BF1 Xbox One S bundle sounds like my kind of deal. I know the S runs games slightly better and digital foundry is usually my go to place for this type of thing but they haven’t made a comparison video, does anyone know if halo 5 benefits from the extra horsepower? (gonna buy the Xbox anyway, just curious)

I heard that even better Xbox Scorpio is coming out next year.

I wanna play halo ASAP lol

Can’t say as I don’t have an Xbox one S, but thinking of getting one, I would say go for it. The battlefield one Xbox bundle is a one tera byte console and that is definitely one you want. Also as someone who may travel with their gaming system as I do sometimes, the smaller console and more importantly no power brick that takes up even more space sounds awesome.

Congrats! I’m not sure, but I think problems with frame drop, lag, possibly minor changes for better visuals. And as what SaneMountain212 said, the Scorpio is super computer for an Xbox.

1TB might not be enough lol but thanks for the input. I’ll check it out, I’ll be settled at my unit by the 18th

Yeah but they actually make 500g which is a waste. There is a 2terabyte console as well I believe

Truth… I do plan on getting the S, and later on selling it and getting the Scorpio if it’s worth it

I think it will be worth it. If you have a 4K TV then you should get every aspect that it delivers. But personally, I’d wait a bit after it comes out to see if there are any major problems with it.

I don’t know a thing about the Xbox one S but I’m just here to say congrats and welcome back.

theres a nice 50" 4k tv at best buy for $399

I’ll just get a warranty, so far the streaming has been off, but I’ll be gaming mostly.

Not exactly a waste. You can attach an external hard drive to your Xbox and it’s generally cheaper than buying a 2tb model.
It also allows you to take your digital games with you.
I would say get the 500GB and pick up an external drive.

Yeah but as some one who travels an external hard drive is just something else to pack, possibly lose or leave some where.

That’s a fair point. I guess it’s not for everyone.
Either way you choose/chose, you’ve made a good decision.

I don’t travel as much as I used to but have to decide on either an external hard drive or Xbox one S as my Xbox one is full and mafia 3 comes out soon

Welcome back. One of the mods, I cannot remember the GT, he has a quote about being fortune/bold or something like that, started a thread about his S experience. He mentioned that 5 ran better. The thread got alot of traction, so it may be worth looking for.

I almost preordered the gears console, but figured I’d wait until the Scorpio comes out.
Portable hard drive is cheaper and better for me.
