With all the comments flying around the internet about the REQ system and micro transaction, I just wanted to share my thoughts.
#1. I am NOT a fan of Micro transactions.
#2. I LOVE THE REQ SYSTEM
Plain and simple I think 343 hit the nail on the head. You can but REQ or earn it. I think really think this give the game legs. Every time I play now I am SUPER excited to get REQ points and score myself a REQ pack! So much variety and cool things to add to the battlefield. 343 Has really added something special I think. I play that extra game or 2 every night just to score a couple more point and pop the REQ open! Its just plain fun.
All the “Microsoft and 343 just want our money” I honestly think is garbage. FREE DLC, and the option to purchase or earn REQ was the way to go. You honestly don’t even “need” REQs, but holy crap I WANT THEM! Bought a book BOOM REQ, Hot Pockets REQ! Smart marketing and just a fun thing in general. We all know that there is money to be made of course but i’ll be -Yoink!- if this wasn’t one of the most clever and fun things halo has done. Hunt the Truth, the REQ system. Halo is everywhere and I am loving it! So great job 343! The game is amazing and not since halo 1 have i wanted to rush home from work or school and play so badly. Thanks for pushing the envelop and giving us an amazing story that left me thirsty for more! 343 you have knocked it out of the park!!!
