So today I got on twitch to stream H5 and I noticed that my Kinect camera would not work, it would just keep saying loading… Then I booted up CoD just to see if the camera would work for twitch and it worked. I then proceeded to uninstall H5 and reinstall it (which took literally all day). When it was done installing I tried again and it still would not load the camera in twitch. Any ideas? Anyone else notice this or having this issue themselves?
I saw a similar thread in the h5 forum yesterday if you do a search for Kinect it will probably come up. That person had the same issue.
Someone on Reddit posted with this solution. Can’t verify personally but it might be worth trying out:
- boot up Halo 5
- boot up twitch
- In the broadcast settings, make the facecam set on bottom right
- return to the home screen and go to the twitch app and clear the saved data from the twitch app
- do a hard reset on the xbox one
- after your xb1 resets, stream Halo 5, you can only have the facecam on botton right, it covers the score for viewers, but it’s better than nothing
i was having this same problem and the only thing i did different from above was that i deleted the twitch app and data altogether before restarting. and it worked!!!
Nice, glad that worked out for you!

Hahaha, whoops. Awesome! Glad it helped out
Thank you for this troubleshooting. I wonder if they are ever going to fix this problem.
I had to go through all the troubleshooting steps today - it’s still not fixed and bottom right is the only way to go. #bummer
For what ever reason. In Halo 5. The face cam must be in the bottom right for Halo 5. If you move it. It will shut off the cam. Solution:
Open new game. Open Twitch and broadcast settings. Move camera back to bottom right. Close every thing and stream halo 5 again.
It worked for me. I didn’t reset my box or twitch apps.
