Hello, all. I’d just like to start this thread by saying that I’m a huge Halo fan, and I love this franchise. I’m amazed at the different ways these games evolve as they come out. With that said, I do wish that this game contributed more positively to our younger generation of gamers. I understand that there is a large percentage of older players, and that they should be accommodated accordingly. However, this doesn’t mean that players younger than 12 can’t be influenced in a great way by these digital masterpieces!
One thing I’ve noticed that could get some attention is the vehicles. In Warzone, players earn REQs for vehicles that they can call out at will to use on the field. If they’re really successful, they can be on the field for upwards of five minutes in these vehicles, driving around and getting kills and generally having fun…and having it all to themselves. I suggest a system that promotes sharing vehicles, so everyone can have a bit of fun. There are two ways 343 can go about this, although one is a bit more extreme. I propose that after three minutes of uninterrupted vehicle use, one of two things will happen: either a prompt that reads “Why don’t you Hold (Button) to Share Vehicle?” that will not leave the screen until they either die or exit the vehicle and let someone else drive, OR the game will forcibly eject them from the seat they’re in and spawn them back in their Home Base. I sincerely believe that this would help kids who play this game to learn the merits of sharing what they have with others who may be less fortunate.
Another thing that bears mentioning is the new ball modes. They’re amazing fun! It’s a great throwback to the older Halo games. However, I think they can make it just a little bit better. Let me digress for a bit: modern gaming culture has placed a huge emphasis on eating tortilla chips and artificially flavored sodas. This may be fun on rare occasions, but a constant diet of nothing but junk food can lead to severe health issues down the road. This brings me back to Assault and Grifball. The solution to all this is to simply reskin the ball as a head of fresh, non-GMO, iceburg lettuce. This will promote more beneficial eating habits to the younger gamers on Halo, and support the health of 343i’s customers. Imagine the great PR they could get with this one simple addition!
This is the last point I’ll make, but it’s the one I’m most excited for. Everyone loves the medal system. It’s been in every Halo game since Halo 2, and even CE had the foundation of it in it’s multiplayer. The game rewards you with a little badge for each great thing you do in-game, providing a huge incentive to keep playing for that next handful of medals. Granted, most of the medals DO glorify the act of killing, which I’m not against. The point of Halo is to kill your enemies after all, and it’s important to keep the current medals we have to support the older generation of players. However, the medals don’t just HAVE to glorify killing! Why not make otherwise-boring household chores seem like an exciting thing for a younger Spartan? Imagine being a kid, playing your favorite game, and having it tell you to clean your room. Boy, if I was that kid, I’d immediately put down my controller and clean my room with enthusiasm! I love this idea, and you should too!
Let me just wrap this up by saying THANK YOU for reading this post. I know it’s a little long, and you all got some Halo you wanna play instead! But I really hope I’m not alone in saying that I think these would benefit the next generation of gamers and, by extension, people. They could just forget about the Reach update, and add these in, instead! I even made a little banner for it to promote it. Here it is, for anyone who is interested.
Thank you, Spartans, and have a lovely day!

Hey thats messed up lol. I like playing with people outside the US…This segregation online takes away from the communication etc. It was fun back in the days playing H2 with people from Canada and the UK…Even shadowrun on 360 was awesome to play with people from the UK and CA…But I hear ye…I am starting to think they took some blood out etc to appeal to a younger audience in the US? Who knows…
