Halo 5 has come, and Escalation has still left many questions. I am here to try and bridge a few connections. While not perfect it will help a little.
> Note: Halsey throughout Hunt the Signal was keeping tabs helping us find answers and so on. While that may not be canon. It would mean that
> A) Halsey was helping this so it would be easier for ONI to keep an eye on the Chief. I mean she desperately wants to see him in Halo 5.
> B) So Humanity is warned of the Anomalies(though ONI were stupid and decided to keep it secret.)
Lets start with timeline Placement.

> This shows that Hunt the signal happens during/after Season 1 of Hunt the Truth as it has Benjamin Girauds interviews and a lot more stuff in folders. Which I put around March/April 2558. This means that ONI has known for about 6 months about the Guardians or more simply the destruction they cause.
Now lets move on to Transmission 1
> Transmission 1
> Locke ask users to search for weaknesses in Mark VI firmware. But this can be assumed to be a overlapping thing in all Mjolnir Armor variants also.
> This made us look into its circuitry.
> Mark VI Circuitry
> This is the apparent weakness in Mark VI armor.
> I can assume Locke was assisting in the creation of that tech we see in Halo 5 that locks armor.
> Locke’s Armor Locker
> We can assume that, that piece of tech short circuits the circuitry we worked on in Hunt the Signal. Locking the Armor. And that its a problem that has carried on from Gen 1 to Gen 2 armor.(seeing as it Lockes Gen 2 Mjolnir also)
Now onto Transmission 2
> This has Locke ask us to go into Halseys archive. We can assume Locke doesnt see the results of this. But ONI certainly does.
> And while going though Halseys records we come across this
> Satellite Image
> This is a satellite image that we come across while going though Halseys archive.
> This shows Halsey had some knowledge of the Anomalies. As that was a colony that was lost contact with.
It we look at the final transmission
> Transmission Image
> We find that the Guardian symbol was at that location also.(We can assume Halsey saw it also)
> Now remember. This was taken from Halseys archive. And well when would she have access to her Archive in Juls hand while ONI has it. Chances are very slim unless the data was in a place both ONI and Halsey could enter it.
> This means sometime before Halsey vanishes in February 2558 to help Jul for awhile. Halsey was working on the Forerunner Symbol and Anomalies but locked out access from ONI with having Jerrod guard it.
> This would mean that Halsey has had about 8 months to go though the data and relay it with several other stuff if Jul let her. But I assume the Absolute Record took Priority in Halseys case.
As said this isnt to explain Halo Escalations’s ending. But to help understand that there was plenty time for Halsey to go over the anomalies leading up to Halo 5 since she got in the hands of Jul. And also go over a little bit of the Armor locking thing Locke had. Hope this is interesting to some people.
