NOTICE: I didn’t know where to post this topic exactly so i figured that it should be here, if you know where this will fit more appropriately, tell me.
So Halo 5 will be coming out this october, but it came to mind that what will be there future projects? So I thought of- from what we know- the potential future halo titles.
2015: Halo 5: Guardians
2016: Halo Wars 2
2017:Halo 3a
2018: Halo 6
2019: Halo 3: ODSTa? (Maybe another title[Halo Wars 3?] or gaming app)
2020:Halo Reacha
2021: Major title: Halo Wars 3/ another FPS title that gives us a different perspective like Reach or ODST.
2022:Halo 4a
2023: Major title that could potentially open up another trilogy or just continue the main Chief story
I have a feeling that 343 is going to stop with the anniversaries. Halo: CEA and Halo 2A were amazing, but they were both over 10 years old and they really needed a modern update. Personally, I don’t think any of the Halos past Halo 3 need it and since they are either on Xbox One already or will be coming via backwards compatibility, I would prefer 343 focus all of their attention on making brand new major titles instead of recreating the old ones.
IMO there wouldn’t be any more anniversaries considering there is MCC, backward compatibility for xbox 360 games on xbox one. Just doesn’t make sense other than getting extra money from their consumers.
I don’t really see anymore anniversary titles being done. Halo 1 and 2 were cool because the graphics were upgraded so much but there’s only so far you can go. Halo 3 would be cool but the graphics don’t seem different enough to warrant an anniversary. Same with ODST and Halo 4.
I’d be really disappointed if there wasn’t a new spinoff game or series like Reach, ODST, and Wars until 2023. That’s a long time to wait for fresh content. Not that the core Halo games are boring or anything but I’d like to see new stuff.

Well the point is that any game after 10 years will look and feel antiquated. Halo 3 is certainly getting there. I’m okay with Anniversary games.
I agree with others that we probably won’t see anymore Anniversary titles or at least until a new console comes out around 2021-ish.
2015: Halo 5: Guardians
2017 or 2018: Halo: _______ (6; but it’ll probably drop the number. Will it end John’s primary role as the protagonist under the Reclaimer saga?)
2019 or 2020 or 2021: Halo: _______ (7; no number. Will it begin sort of a new story arc under the Reclaimer saga? Will John 117 still be the primary focus?)
2017 or 2018 or 2019: Halo: _______ (A spin-off FPS Halo game of some sort. Will it be a full-game like Reach was or will it be more like ODST? If a full-game then I could see Halo 6 or 7 getting pushed back by about 2-3 years each. Will it jump back from the current timeline or advance it? Will it focus on filling-in and giving more background to a known character like Jameson Locke, Linda 058, Kelly 078, Fredrick 104, Edward Buck, Holly Tanaka, Olympia Vale, Sarah Palmer, Naiya Ray, Catherine Halsey, Thel 'Vadam (the Arbiter), Jul 'Mdama, Didact or will it give us new characters?)
That’s as far as I’d care to speculate until we see how some things start turning out down the road. I also think there will be another smaller gaming project similar to the next iOS-based game that’s meant to be Strike’s successor, but what exactly it could/would be I have no idea.

I agree with this. Also, unless there’s some huge advance in graphics technology, Halo 3 will still look good for years to come.
Im kinda excited to see where this game will go with the end of the reclaimer series? I really have no clue what the future will hold for Halo. I just hope its a good one
